I’ve been going to the gym two to three times a week and wearing my shape ups literally everywhere although they are mostly to help my posture and back.
I’ve lost weight from my hips which is the one place I would choose to gain if I could to balance out my top half (k cup that doesn’t reduce much with weight loss 🙁 I was a J at 16 before I put on the weight from starting the pill and living a student lifestyle, my sister and mum are similar and it drives me mad when people say you ALWAYS lose weight off your bust when in school it got to me so much I tried to eat as little as possible, as I got smaller my chest stayed the same and my back problems got really bad. Now i’m a little more accepting of the way nature made me )
Last week I abandoned everything at the gym for my lower half and started boxing and rowing to really target the top half. Lets hope I can balance out at least a little!
Is anyone else in that intermediate weight loss stage where you begin to think you actually look worse?

I hear ya on the boobs! Not quite as large as you are, but I’m an F. They haven’t gone ANYWHERE. Now I’ve plateaued with only 20lbs left to lose to my next goal (down 45 already) so I’m a bit frustrated.
I have to tell you though, you can’t spot reduce. It’ll be good for you to work on your back and core, but it’s not going to help you lose more on your upper half unfortunately.

@LiliKitty: Curses! I’m quite new to serious excersise of this sort. I used to dance before puberty hit but I went off sport after that. I eat a decent diet, vegetarian, lots of variety, very little salt, no fried food etc
It’s nice to know others understand how frustrating it is to have your boobs defy your efforts, thankyou

I have the exact opposite problem as you. I have lost over 50lbs so far, but now that I am getting into that final 10lbs my body actually seems to look WORSE (not to mention it has become SO hard to lose weight).
I have lost of my my weight from my upper body. I have gone down a cup size (from D to C) and lost 4 inches from my band. However, my hips have lost that much and now I look like a big pear.
I really wish you could spot reduce!

@amandasf: Well done you on your weight loss! I hate the stage where you think your shape was better before even if it was a bigger size!
Spot weight loss would be amazing. Sometimes I wish you could ‘swap’ with a friend so you both balanced out a bit 🙂

How’s everyone doing with their weightloss goals? I cut back on sweets and started half-heartedly tracking calories for an initial 5-7 pound weight loss, but I’m having a hard time amping up to true fitness mode despite knowing the wedding is less than 5 MONTHS(!!) away. Any tips or tricks, bees?

I will gladly take some extra inches up top if you gals want to share!
I’m doing my pre-wedding weight loss right now just to make sure that my dress will not need alterations. I’m down 6 lbs and started my 1500 calorie diet 2 and a half weeks ago. Hopefully I can maintain my weight loss but realistically I’m planning to diet again to lose a few stray pounds near the end of the year.

@Anardana: I was a Dirty Delete, never lost weight on my bust, and got a reduction. My life is much better now.

About a year ago I started counting calories and did a Jillian Michaels workout video every day. I lost about 20 lbs. and was really starting to feel good. Then Christmas came along and I gained all of it back and then some. I know I only have 5 months left until the wedding and my first gown fitting is in October but I just can’t seem to get motivated. Grrr….I don’t know what my problem is. Any suggestions for how to get my couch potato butt in gear?
By The Way Congrats you guys on the weight loss!

I’m in the same boat! I started working out and eating right “hard core” in July, then we went on vacation at the end of the month and I have yet to “get back on the wagon”….ugh gained back 5 of the 15 I lost. I will take any motivation I can get…..Would you guys be interested in doing a pool? (you know-everyone antes up $10-$20 and then on Dec. 1 the person who has lost the most gets a little honeymoon cash?) We did it once in my office and ppl were definitely motivated, lol

I have lost 25 pounds so far but I am not as motivated as before with the exercising and counting calories… I hope I can maintain my current weight for another 4 months *sigh*

i just started insanity workouts and walking everyday at lunch for a mile.. while the scale plays tricks on me an has my weight fluxing..people around me have said i look trimmer.. i just want to SEE it for me… im not HUGE on top but people tend to think that mine are bigger then they are.. i might have to alter my dress to a sweet heart to open the neckline so they arent so crushed on my wedding..sigh,
insanity is crazy but you def feel like you are moving muscles that you never moved before… i havent switched into full diet mode as i work 7 days a week and there is not many healthy options at either job…or any place to store a brought in lunch.
my goal is to lose 10-15 before the wedding…my dress fits but i have ARM FAT and a lil back FLAB i need to destroy before the wedding.
