I did the online weight watchers! I lost about 25 pounds in less than 4 months with absolutely no exercise. I started to exercise once I hit a plateau and lost another 5 pounds and toned up.

Do you have any specific questions? I would really recommend trying it out. I tried counting calories for about five months before starting WW and lost no weight doing that.

Let me know what questions you have! I love WW and have a ton to say about it but I’m on my phone right now so it’s harder to type 🙂

If you stick to the program, you could lose 40 pounds in 6 – 8 months! I have been on it for a while (in maintenance now). Great program!

@eecuadrado:  they don’t send you food. you’ll get their system books with a list of points for each food, and you’ll get a specific number of points per day. that’s how you track what you eat. you cook your own food, but you can find tons of recipes online.

i did it online, and lost 20 pounds. i did it not-online and lost another 40. i prefer meetings. you get held accountable that way, cause you go in and get weighed, right there.

@eecuadrado:  yep. once a week. i think you can go more often, i just think you have to pay for each extra weigh in (you don’t have to pay for the one per week, i think it’s if you do more than one per week, it’s an extra charge).

@colorofmyheart:  good point about the meetings.

If you have a smart phone the point system is super easy to use (also easy to use on the computer but it’s not portable then :)) You can use their recipe or your own recipes. They also have points for most major restaurants.

There are also online communities and challenges you can join. This was helpful because I don’t attend meetings right now.

I just like the program because they make it easy to stay on track. I never go hungry. If you are out of your points for the day, you can dig into your weekly extra points (if you decide to use them) or eat fruits and vegetables (most of which are zero points).

I also learned a lot about portion size. Before I just used to zone out and eat and now I measure everything.

The first couple of weeks do involve work as you have to learn about the point values of certain foods. Now that I’m maintaining I don’t always track my points everyday because I have a general idea of how many points something is. When I come across a new food I will calculate it and if I feel myself slipping back into eating mindlessly I just start tracking my points again.

I’ve been on WW (online) for about 8 months and so far I’ve lost almost 70 pounds. I still have another 20-30 to go, but it has been so easy and life-changing. I HIGHLY suggest it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
