I signed up for WW to lose weight for my wedding. I didn’t consider myself overweight and I worked out about 5-6 days a week. I also didn’t own a scale and didn’t realize I had gained about 20 pounds or so since college.

I decided to do it online because I knew that the wedding would be a great motivator. If you decide to do in online though you have to make sure you can be accountable for your food and not cheat. It takes about a week to really get used to the point system, but it’s a great program.

Depending on your height, weight, how much you want to lose and other factors, you are given a certain amount of daily points. You also get 35 extra points a week and activity points for working out. It’s pretty simple. Eat only the amount alloted and you will lose weight.

I’ve lost 26 pounds so far and right now I’m just maintaining. I’ll probably kick it into high gear the couple weeks before my wedding and see if I can lose another couple of pounds.

Hope this helps!

I don’t know much more than you do about the Weight Watchers program but I have really enjoyed this blog for creative WW recipes: http://www.skinnytaste.com

I have been a ww online member forever- I just could never make it to the meetings with my schedule…  I love it- but you do have to be honest with yourself.  Especially for me with things like cocktails on the weekends and desserts… But it does work- I lost 30 lbs a few years ago and kept it off!  It really opens your eyes about portion control and gets you to heat a lot of fresh veggies!
