I’m 36…been off BCPs since November and I just finished cycle 7. Been TTC since then. Last month I had a 23 day cycle. I’m usually a standard 28 but have had a couple of 26 day cycles.
I knew AF was coming last week and bled for 2.5 days. I thought it was over and after a steamy BD session on Sunday (CD5), started bleeding for the rest of the day.
Last night, Darling Husband and I finished dinner and I crashed on the sofa…out of the ordinary for me. But I woke with intense cramps. I’ve had something similiar with cysts popping before. I was in quite a bit of pain but decided to try to relax. It actually hurts to sit.
Last night, I woke at 3 am with the same cramps and they continued all night. So this morning I started calculating and figured today would have been my 28 days and decided to POAS….BFN. I knew it would be but I started freaking out about an etopic pregnancy.
I started OPKs on CD5 since I never got a positive last month testing at CD8. CD5 was pretty dark (not positive though) but has since started to disappear.
I’ve had O cramps before….these are much stronger accompanied by lower back pain. Could this be O? Maybe a cyst?

I have to say something to put your mind at ease. When it comes to our bodies I think one knows when everything’s perfectly normal and when it’s “weird”. I’m not a doctor but it very well be cysts again since you’ve had them before.
I suggest going to your doctor, I’m going for something very similar in a couple of weeks (too busy for an earlier appt.)
Whilst I’m sure everything it fine, for you and for me, only a doctor will set our minds at rest. And especially so since in medical terms you’re “older”.
It does take a while to adjust without BC, I stopped it about 18 months ago (not TTC, but it made me miserable) and it’s only been the last 6-8 cycles I’ve noticed O pain, random bleeds, and random cramping.
Best of luck
(sorry you’re going through so much pain)

Hmm it wouldn’t hurt to give your doctor a call. Maybe they can fit you in for a pelvic US to ease your mind. Hope you feel better soon!

I would definitely make an appt w/ your OB. When I O as well as when the egg is travelling down my tubes, I get slight cramping w/ back pains. Nothing too intense but just a reminder what my body is going through. Now before my myo I would have intense cramping and back pains. In my case it was due to scar tissue being wrapped around other internal organs. Thankful surgery resolved that.
Call your OB and ask for an U/S. Its better to be Safe than Sorry:)

Well bees, the cramps stopped last night. Still didn’t get a positive OPK so I’m not sure if that’s it or not.
I’m in the process of changing my OB/GYN. I didn’t care for her at all. It took me 6 weeks to get a F/U sonogram for a fibroid. The other local docs have a 6 week waiting list for a first appt. as well.
Just gonna keep monitoring it and if it gets really bad, I’ll head over to the ER.
