Morning, bees! 😀 The morning radio show I listen to just did a segment on weird food combinations that people swear are delicious. Some of them were:
- pickles and peanut butter
- pickles and oreos
- ketchup, mustard and chocolate syrup on hotdogs
- pasta and mayonnaise
The rest I have repressed because I was eating my breakfast at the time and it was grossing me out, lol!
I don’t think I have ever really enjoyed a strange food combo, maybe spreading mayo on bologna slices, rolling it up, and eating it that way as a kid.
So what about you guys? What weird food combinations do you or someone you know enjoy??

@icanhearyousmile: Bacon and ice cream. In fact I’ll eat bacon on anything.

@Aquaria: Hahaha, there is actually a place near my campus that serves bacon ice cream. <_<

Cream cheese and peanut butter.

@Bainise2013: Lol, the amish market here sells chocolate covered potato chips. I could see how that could be good salty/sweet. 😀
@elibas: I *love* cream cheese. I love cream cheese frosting. I love cream cheese in ANYTHING. That could actually be good.

@elibas: i have an amazing apple dip recipe for cream cheese and peanut butter, plus a lot of sugar…

Chocolate covered bacon! Yummmm
I used to dip my grapes and carrots in ketchup as well.

I like to dunk grapes in peanut butter, it’s healthier than jelly and it’s a filling snack. My roommate got me hooked on it. And chocolate covered chips are delicious, Gertrude Hawke sells them!

I don’t know that mine are weird per say, but I do tend to get some strange looks if I eat them in front of people. My personal favorite is that I put chips on my subs. It gives it a great crunch and adds a little extra salty flavor. I also like popcorn dipped in Diana BBQ sauce. I discovered this one by accident. I was at an old boyfriend’s house and he was BBQing while I was eating popcorn and I dropped some on the BBQ sauce lid and decided to eat it anyway. Turned out it was pretty good.

@Isabelle663: That’s not so farfetched lol!
@TKG83: As a kid I used to put chips on my sandwich ALLLLLLL the time. I love that <3 BBQ Sauce, not so much though. ^^;
@MrsBeck: I actually got a recipe for chocolate and bacon cupcakes a little while ago in a food newsletter. xD I’m too chicken to try it. But the amish market by my house sells chocolate covered bacon and potato chips. =X

@icanhearyousmile: oh it’s so good! It’s like that sweet and salty mix! They sell it at our State Fair every year and I always get some! Chocolate covered potato chips are also delicious. Another combo I like is Jr. mints with popcorn. I’m nuts about mixing sweet and salty things.

@MrsBeck: I’m pretty sure Alton Brown did a Good Eats on salty/sweet combos. XD

I grew up with these but everyone looks at me SO weird!
Cream cheese and sultana sandwiches – everyone thought I was NUTS
Mashing up an icypole into vanilla icecream – easy peasy flavour? 😀
Chips on burgers – obviously some others like this too!
Nutella and sliced cheese sandwich – I actually figured this out on my own through my love of cheese and my love of nutella!
