Weddingbee boards

For dessert tonight I had the Cheesecake Factory's Pumpkin Cheesecake and while I took my first bite of that heavenly goodness I had a total light bulb going off "what if" moment. It suddenly occured to me...a wedding completely designed around the PUMPKIN!

It is no secret in my family that I am obsessed with the pumpkin. I love anything involving this little orange guard...I'm talking food, lotion, shower gel, candles...seriously anything (ironically enough not the actual pumpkin. hmmm)!

While in the shower I came up with the complete decor: Our colors would be whipped creamed-ivory, cinnamon stick brown, and of course a burnt orange which we shall call pumpkin. Our paper goods would be shaped as pumpkins...for the invitations a pumpkin leaf would be detachable and sent back as our response cards. For favors we would do a duo of pumpkin seeds - one set roasted ready for eating and another ready for planting. Our center pieces would be hallowed out pumpkins with an array for fall colored/themed flowers. Our menu would involve pumpkin/squash in every course and for dessert we would have a pumpkin flavored wedding cake as well as our inspiration piece...the pumpkin cheesecake.

I've even made an inspiration board for my obession...haha I think FH would laugh at me if he knew this!

haha too bad we are having a beach wedding! I don't think pumpkin would go with sand dollars and blue hued waves!

you could turn it into a dinner party and host it on haloween after your wedding, as a married couple!

I love all things pumpkin, too! I carved my first one this year - and even loved doing that! And my grandmother makes this to-die-for pumpkin pie ... I jsut can't get enough of it!

@crebre: I loved the pumpkins she did with the little whole cut out! I don't normally like carved pumpkins but those were so different and simple!

@gretchin: This is actaully the second time this season I've had the cheesecake! The sell it at barnes and nobles and yea it's a bad thing I know that! I used to get made fun at college because my shower caddy was everything pumpkin! No one understood. Those pumpkin spice donuts sound too good. I'm also so spoil that my mom makes everything with fresh pumpkin around here...a can of pumpkin for pumpkin pie is NOT allowed in our house! I can taste the difference
