My cravings seem to vary from day to day. The weirdest craving for me so far has been KFC because normally I *hate* KFC. A week or so ago I had the worst craving so DH went and picked up a bucket of chicken for dinner. He thought it was hilarious because he knows that I think KFC is disgusting when I’m NOT pregnant! I felt really sick later that night after eating it though so I don’t think I’ll be indulging in that craving again anytime soon.

One other thing I can’t get enough of is lemonade.

I’ve been craving sweets this whole pregnancy (34 weeks now) but the weirdest thing for me was during my second trimester I went through a phase where I was obsessed with marshmallows.  I probably hadn’t eaten marshmallows in years but for some reason I got it in my head that I had to have them.  They had to be medium sized (not too big, not too small) jet-puffed kind.  I would go through a bag of them in a day or two.  Finally, after a few weeks I had to force myself to control the craving because I was eating them like crazy and I knew it wasn’t good.

I’m 39 weeks and right now I crave hot fries (the Andy Capp kind) OMG. it’s so bad though, because I will literally eat a whole bag in 5 minutes. So I try not to buy them too often.

In the first and second trimester I craved fruit, fruit juice, and lemonade. I still love lemonade but it gives me heartburn lately.

I also have ate a lot of hamburgers, when I normally don’t eat a lot of red meat. Usually I always eat chicken, but for some reason have had an aversion to chicken unless its chicken fingers. Basically, I eat like a toddler with some fruits and vegetables thrown into the mix lol.

I never had any constant cravings..just random things I’d suddenly really want.

Oddly enough the majority of cravings I had, were for things that I ate a lot of in my childhood: grilled cheese, tomato sandwiches, tomato soup, hot fudge sundaes, cream of mushroom soup. lol

I had a lot more aversions than cravings though.

I’m almost 30 weeks and I have only had one craving. One day, early in my pregnancy, I ws sitting on the couch minding my own business when suddenly I had had HAD to have ice cream cake. Keeping in mind that prior to this, I have not had any sweet tooth in years and probably haven’t eaten ice cream cake since childhood. So I went to the store and bought a cake, ate one piece, and ended up throwing the rest of the cake away weeks later because I hadn’t touched it again. So weird.

Salt and vinegar chips.. any possible kind. Pringles are probably at the top of my list.

Olives stuffed with jalapenos.

Really sugary kids cereal, like Cookie Crisp or Reese’s Puffs.

In the beginning there was salads and lots of lettuce. While I was working two jobs at the beginning of the summer I didn’t have time to bring lunch so I ended up eating lots, and I do mean lots, of McDonald’s premium chicken ranch wraps. I hate fast food and haven’t eaten at a fast food joint in years. Somehow, vampire kid thinks junk food is yummy.

This past week i told DH to go pick up some Chef Boyardee ABC123 minis. I haven’t had those in about 5 years but somehow I was craving them. They’re starting to disgust me again so I might not be eating them much longer. I barely finished one can today.

I’ve also been craving lots of carbs in the form of blueberry bagel with cream cheese or mac n cheese.

@urchin:  that is so funny!!  I get childhood pregnancy cravings too!!  Firebomb Popsicles, speghetti-os, cheesy fries, sloppy joes, corn dogs and happy meals!  The weirdest is cravings for things I ate as a starving college student, things I swore I would never touch again after school:  top ramen & Mac n cheese.

Sausage Mcmuffins. I liked them before I was pregnant, but now I HAVE to have them!

I want sour sour sour. Lemonade, sour patch kids, green grapes. In the first few weeks I couldn’t get enough salty stuff. Roasted seaweed was probably the strangest craving. I was going to the Asian market & buying it by the armful!

First trimester, I was obsessed with watermelon. I felt like it was the only thing I could stomach. I would have to have it with almost every meal. Now, I’m really into fruit snacks – which I was pretty indifferent to before pregnancy. I also have this intense aversion to chocolate and most other sweets (unless they are fruity!), which makes me sad because mentally, I still LOOOOOOVE chocolate. I want to eat it. But I put it in my mouth and it tastes like dirt. =(

I had a serious grapfruit craving in first trimester. I bought a bag of a dozen and killed it in a week. And then I didn’t touch another one after that.

Around 16 weeks I was eating mini marshmallows out of the bag for a while.

Lately (27w) I haven’t had any really crazy cravings, although I made DH take me to Boston Pizza last week because I absolutely had to have one of their gluten-free pizzas.

I’m not pregnant – but I *love* a Jamocha shake from arby’s and a side of their pickles…it’s like a snack of amazingness. 🙂

I didn’t really have weird cravings but for about a week I was obsessed with honeydew. Now I love frozen icies or ice pops but it could just be because of the heat.
