Found this one in Melbourne on our honeymoon. I think the name of the restaurant is pretty generic, but I love the tagline!
we ate at a place called "The Poop Deck" the night we got engaged. Good food, but icky name!

Ha. I googled it and this page made me LOL.
sorry to the people in the south but Lizard's Thicket. I used to shudder whenever we ate down there when I was visiting family.
There is also a restaurant called "Cocke & Kettle" (cocke is pronouced cock). Imagine being a 14 year being dragged here for a "special holiday" dinner with the grandparents. It reeked of old people! LOL
Pho King (pronounced like the bad word). It is a really common name for pho restaurants in LA :p
No joke...there is a Thai place right down the street from us called (wait for it)...
The Poo Ping Palace!!
We die of laughter every time we drive by...and needless to say we have never actually eaten there. :)

Filthy McNasty's Bar and Bar...
Our tourist book said this bar was in Jaco, Costa Rica. We looked EVERYWHERE for it to take a picture, but I think it was bulldozed in favor of a strip mall. Too bad!!

so I was reading the SF chronicle today and they had this article on weird restaurant naming conventions.. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/mbauer/detail?blogid=26&entry_id=56493
I have to say the worst restaurant name I've ever seen is "Liquid Sushi"! It makes me think of some pureed california rolls or something. I've never eaten there..
What's the weirdest restaurant name you've ever seen? Would a name influence your decision to try a new place out?
