I got a TB test earlier today for my new job and about an hour after I got the shot for the test, my wrist started hurting. It hurts right in the middle on my inner wrist… Not like ow I hit it on something, but inside my wrist.
Does anyone know if it might be related?

I get pain like that because I’m getting carpal tunnel. I’ve never had the TB test so I’m not sure if it causes pain.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: +1. That’s classic carpal tunnel pain, though I have no idea about the shot. :S

@MrsRevolutionize: My FI thinks maybe the shot hit a nerve? idk.

Carpal tunnel… maybe it’s just a coincidence that you felt the pain after your tb shot. I would go see a doc.

@RenoSweeney24: TB tests are done pretty superficially in the skin, so if the needle hit a nerve it would likely only hurt right where the needle went in. I would mention your pain to whoever reads the test when you go back in the next two days. If they don’t have any ideas and it still hurts I would make an appt with your primary care doc!

@weddingbee098: Yeah I’ll go to a doctor if it continues for any extended amount of time. I doubt it will though.

@missoptimism: The pain seems to have gone away! Who knows what that was!
