Snacks? Bonus points if they are special to Bar Harbor.  Maybe also a map of the area.

SeaOfLove:  Definitely maps of the local area and transport brochures / taxi phone numbers to help people get around. Snacks are also a good idea!

I would DIY something like this for the mints if you have the time — so cute!

TheGridMonster:  Those are adorable!

SeaOfLove:  I think a pamphlet can’t hurt! It’s great you have everything on the website but I know myself I would appreciate having hard copies of everything once we got there 🙂

Do you have the “itenerary” of the ceremony/reception in there? Maybe put the weather forecast in there, movie showings (if they have down time with kids), some restarants you recommend? Are there people staying at a hotel who might have fun hanging out that you could get together?

Since most of my wedding guests were out of town, we gave everyone 4 bottles of water per bag and then filled them with particular snacks that I knew my side of the family loves (DH was in charge of his side of the family).  We also put pepto bismol tablets, tylenol, and mints as a mini-emergency kit in case people felt unwell.

They were a HUGE hit and everyone loved them.  I think anything you put together that is thoughtful of your guests will definitely be appreciated!
