HI bees! I need to advice for welcome bags for our out of town guests…
I am getting married on Valentine’s day weekend. I have around 15-20 hotels that will be booked for our wedding block.
I know I want to order door hangers that says “do not disturb i spent all night celebrating at the wedding of…” and I am thinking on getting a couple other things maybe winter related??
If you made a welcome kit, what did you put in the bags?? Any ideas for a winter/valentine’s themed wedding??

We went to restaurant.com and bought a bunch of gift certficiates to restaurants near the hotel. Every guest got one. They usually sell them for about $5 for a $25 certificate but often have sales where you pay $2 for a $25 certificate. Read the restrictions before buying as some require a minimum purchase and some restaurants don’t accept them on weekends. Our guests LOVED these.
We also included some light snacks (snack packs of peanuts, cookies etc) and bottles of water, sunblock, and chapstick, as well as a map of the local area and the subway system.
Basically you want to give the guests stuff they can use for their stay, so if the hotel rooms have microwaves, maybe some hot cocoa packets and popcorn that they can pop in their room.

We put together a “With Love from MN” bag that included a list of our favorit restuarants – and a guage of $$$ on there, the big sites to hit with maps, Mall of America, sculpture park ect. A list of events for the wedding weekend we are planning (50% of the guest list are out of towners who have never been to MN) and I think adding a small bottle of wine from our favorite local winery and a fave local snack. Still going over it to make sure we havent missed anything or adding anything to the list. 🙂

I just finished my bags, well sort of finished them, for my wedding next month!
I did the hangers, made them myself and had them printed out at staples, a lot cheaper than buying them! I have the template if you want to PM me your email address.
Other than that I went to the local visitors center and got a travel magazine that lists everything in the area with a map. I also put in here our fav wineries in the area and lucky for us its the beginning of restaurant week so everything is super cheap! so i included that as well.
I put two bottles of water in each, two types of crackers, oreo cookies, and pretzels. Also some left over candy that we bought for our candy bar that we decided not to use.
Also we put two single packs of tylenol for the next morning. I was thinking of including little nips as well but will decide that last minute probably.
The out of town bags have been my fav project so far. We put a welcome letter on the outside from our dogs, so basically the bags are a gift from our dogs! I just think they turned out so cute!

We did a New England/Boston themed bag. I put some information in there about the wedding events and we made a packet with all of our favorite restaurants and sights in the area in it. Other than that we basically filled it with snacks: gummy lobsters, boston baked beans, cape cod potato chips and a few chocolates.

@jtsmith724: Hey!! We are wedding day twinsies!! Lol!! Some of our guests are coming from Canada to NJ. In the bag we will have some Greek chocolate and some Italian chocolate bars. I’m Greek he is Italian. We will also be adding two customized bottles of water(if anyone knows where I can find stickers that fit the bottles that I can print out myself PLEASE pm me!!) I love the door sign idea!! So fun! We will also be adding Tylenol packs that I will be getting a pack from at a gas station at close to wholesale price. Most out of town guests may venture out to NYC so I may add a tour guide booklet to the welcome bags! :0)
What things have you completed? I’m having a hard time finding a flower girl dress I love!!!
