I live in Ann Arbor and am newly engaged. My FI and I are thinking we will get married out in the Saugatuck/Holland area (my parents live out there) or in Ann Arbor. We are planning an August 2009 wedding but have no sold plans yet...although we did find a photographer!

Hey, boothbride, I'm getting married in Holland next February! I put in a request for a Grand Rapids/West Michigan board :-D
I'm originally from Holland and currently live in Ypsilanti (finished school at EMU in December), but in a couple of months my fiance and I are moving to New York...putting even MORE distance between me and my wedding location. We considered having the wedding out in New York, but that would have meant waiting even longer and a year+ engagement is long enough for me (not to mention that our wedding date is the 5th anniversary of our first date...I've waited long enough at this point!)

Hi everyone! My fiance and I live in Toledo, OH (literally 5 mins from the MI border), but our wedding is going to be in Muskegon, MI, which is my hometown and also my fiance's parents' hometown. We're getting married December 13 :)

Hi ladies! Both my fiance' and I grew up in West Michigan (him - Hudsonville, me - North Muskegon) and we're planning a June 2009 wedding in Muskegon. We currently live in Columbia, SC where my fiance' is getting his MA and I just graduated with my MSW! I'm glad to see all these Michiganders on Weddingbee :)
I just wanted to say hi as my parents live in Birmingham, MI! As a result both my engagement party and wedding shower were in Michigan. Although I have never lived there, my parents have for 9 years so it is my second home (I grew up in Florida, live in New York, Getting married in New York)!

Hello all! Another Michigander here! I now live in Ohio, but am getting married in Southeastern MI (where I'm from originally) May 16, 2009!!
I grew up outside of Detroit, went to college in Ann Arbor (Go Blue!!), but I'm getting married in Philadelphia bec that is where I live now and FI is from the area. However, I will be having a shower and maybe an informal reception in Michigan so I feel like I am also a Michigan bride.
