SO was having lunch yesterday with a friend of his who I can’t stand, mostly because it’s incredibly obvious that she’s completely in love with him and hates my guts. SO is completely oblivious to this, but I think it’s understood that we don’t like each other, and he’s more than welcome to hang out with her, but I’ll pass. It’s not a jealousy issue, because I trust him, and they were friends for years before we met. She’s quite mannish, and he doesn’t see her as anything more than a friend.
Anyway, I was worried that he was going to bring her back to apartment and I was going to have to put on a happy face after a hard day of work and entertain this girl. Luckily this didn’t happen. They just went to Wendy’s and apparently my SO did nothing but talk about me the whole time. Not only was he talking about me, but he was telling her all these wedding plans he has for us, and wanted a girl’s opinion. This was seriously the last thing I expected him to tell me when I got home.
We met at swing dance, and they had it at this beautiful ballroom from the 1920’s. I was just playing around on Google one day, and discovered that it can be used as a wedding venue. The second I found that out, I instantly knew I wanted to marry him there, but never told him.
When he was telling me about the wedding conversation he had with this girl, one of the things he said was that he told this girl he wanted to marry me at that same ballroom. We both picked the same venue without even discussing it first. haha. I think that’s pretty awesome.
