Just have to say, I read this and was smiling at the end - You rock! So what if a few of your guests are left dissappointed?
You just weren't feeling that yesterday was the day that you wanted and deserved. Who wants to remember their wedding day as the day where everyone else dictated what you should have and do. I am sure you are looking forward to March with FAR more excitement now! :)
Congrats on following your heart!!
So excited for you to have the wedding you REALLY wanted !!
Thanks ladies!
@Spaneshal ... you are right! I am most certainly looking more forward to March!

So basically the title says it all. Almost. Yesterday at 5:30 p.m. was suppose to be one of the best days of my life, but alas, no wedding. Now, we haven't broken up, the wedding wasn't called off, it was merely post-poned. Since Stuart and I got engaged I have vehemently stressed that I DID NOT want a big, lavish wedding. Well, one person suggested this, then another suggested that ... and before I knew what hit me I had a venue picked out (that I didn't love), a guest list of close to 300 people, and A LOT of stress. So, about three months ago I post-poned the event. Naturally, it left several people disappointed and irritated, but in the words of a Bridezilla ... "It's MY wedding". And I truly mean that with the most love possible. It's very flattering that so many people wanted to be there, but I felt like Stuart and I were getting lost in the mix and people were forgetting that this whole thing is about declaring our love for one another. It isn't just some big show for everyone to attend. So, bees, March 24, 2012 WILL be the best day of my life. I will marry my love on the beach, in a small intimate wedding that both of us always wanted. My advice to you fellow bees that are in the same predicament ... go with your heart! Don't forget the TRUE meaning of your wedding.
