I feel pretty strongly about not losing weight "for the wedding" - but.. some of FI's family members got on WW for the wedding, and they look fantastic. And they're healthier and happier. I, on the other hand, have steadily been creeping up despite what I consider an active lifestyle (I'm a runner) and relatively healthy eating habits.

So FI & I joined WW online about two weeks ago, just to give it a try. And WOW. I've lost a little weight, but more importantly:

what it's shown me is that we really weren't eating all that healthy. Just paying attention has made a huge difference. And I feel SO much better with the food I'm eating now. Running is better.

I'm totally not meaning to pimp a specific program, I think anything that makes someone write down what they're eating and pay attention would have a similar effect. Anyway, just thought I'd share!

DH and I are going to start WW too :D

Are you guys doing it online or going to the meetings? Did you both join or just one of you? We can't decide if just one of us wants to actually join so we can save a little money. I just think we'll both want our own personal e-tools, but he thinks once we "learn" the diet we won't each need them. Are they worth it for us to each have our own, do you think?

We both ended up joining online - he's actually done WW before, a few years ago, and it was harder for him I think without me being on it to (especially since I do most of the cooking, because I like to cook).

I think the only problem with sharing is that you have to figure out how many points you're supposed to get, but it's doable. For us, it's way easier/more convenient right now to have our own access to the tools and our own reinforcement numbers-wise.. we ended up doing a 3 month signup each, but I do think it will be easier to go to cut back to one, or even a pen/paper food log, once the lifestyle choices are more engrained.
