@CarolinaPeach13:  About 4 years ago, I did the same thing. It was a horrible day, but I kind of look back and laugh about it now. My teacher actually laughed because I was crying too. Glad you survived it!

@CarolinaPeach13:  Oh my gosh! My sweet husband knocked me out of bed so that I could get to finals on time but if he wasn’t here then I would have been in the same position as you!

This will be an awesome story to tell later on so no worries girly! 🙂

@CarolinaPeach13:  Ugh during finals my Soph. year of college I was SOOO sick with strep throat. I was living in the dorms and didn’t have a car to get to the doctor’s office so I tried to tough it out and go to my final— well i fell asleep AT THE DESK, while they were handing out the exams. I totally failed it because I was so out of it (I had passed every other exam in that class) and the Prof let me retake it after I explained the situation with a doctors note. I had a fever of 102 at that exam!

Don’t worry, it happens to everyone at some point– Congratulations on graduation!!

Oh dear, you poor thing. But at least he was waiting for you and you were able to finish your exam!

I graduated earlier this year, but this meltdown I had at finals takes the cake for me. As required for my degree you had to have a senior show and all graduating students in the program were required to put up work and host a reception. I was freaking out because I wanted this to be the best show for all of us, and I was being really ticky about a tablecloth for our refreshments table that was all wrinkly. But I set the iron too high and when I started to smooth it out the iron MELTED the tablecloth like butter. So my professor came out to check on me and I was just standing there sobbing with an iron and a ruined tablecloth crying,”I DID A THING. I DID A BAD, BAD THING. LOOK AT IIIIIT.”

I think I really scared the man, lol.

Don’t worry, we all have at least one moment like yours. You are definitely not alone.

@CarolinaPeach13:  Yea for you!  I am so relieved he let you take it. Sometimes there is no sympathy.

@CarolinaPeach13:  Congrats on being done!

My ex bf and I overslept for a final once. We got there with 20 minutes left and actually finished the test on time and both of us aced it.  It happens!

@CarolinaPeach13:  I think you should take it as a compliment that your professor was still waiting–if he thought you had been a poor student during the semester, I don’t think he would have been nearly as generous!  LOL  Congrats on being done!  🙂

@CarolinaPeach13:  During my last semester of my first degree I fell asleep DURING an exam, in the middle of the giant gymnasium but surrounded by my dozen classmates who all saw.  I got dealt one of those horrible schedules where you end up with a ton of exams super close together but none are close enough to qualify to have it shifted for you.  I fell asleep during exam 4/5.  Thankfully, I managed to pass and did alright in the course but it was definitely not fun!

@CarolinaPeach13:

I failed a final once because I totally missed TWO inside pages that stuck together. (multi-page final)

Wow, how nice of your professor for being understanding. Glad it turned out okay, and congrats on graduation!

I was fortunate to never have an issue with finals. When I was student teaching though, my alarm didn’t go off one morning. I woke up around the time I usually left for school. I was in a dead panic and get ready as quickly as I could. I was shaking and nearly in tears when I arrived at school (somehow got there before the kids though). I was so embarrassed!
