I should stay away from Menu posts when I'm hungry! With that, I love your menu, especially the appetizers. I had to look up Panzanella Salad and it looks delicious. Excellent picks!
Thank you ladies :-)
I can't begin to tell you what a relief it is to have this done. We went through a lot of caterers to get exactly what we wanted and that would fit our budget.
Your menu make me hungry! I love the cornish game hens. I am on the hunt for a caterer, do you have any good advise?
@15happyyears: We love cornish game hens too. And we thought they fit our Victorian theme nicely.
The only advice that I can offer is to go with a caterer that offers tastings, doesn't charge you for the tastings, and doesn't have a minimum. Do your research, so that you know what the going rate is for the items you want and don't be afraid to ask for a discount. Also, keep track of how they respond to you and the time frames they respond back to you. Keep every email and write notes when you talk to them, so you can refer back to them with what they have previously offered you and let them know that you have other caterers that you are considering. And don't sign a contract, until you have read it thoroughly and gone over anything you don't understand.
***bumping because I am proud to be able to knock one more thing off my list

Beekeeper
Finally, after months and months of agony, we have finally secured a caterer. No more changing our minds(mine really). Got the contract, put down the deposit, and now we have to live with it. One more thing off my list. Yay!!!
Now we just have to figure out the music and the bar service.
Oh, and I also caved and signed a contract with a makeup and hair person, so I don't have to worry about doing it myself. I could just see me with eyeliner all crooked and just where I don't want it. I know I will be so nervous; not a good thing with me and makeup :-)
Well, without further adies, here is our final menu!!!
The desert; wedding cake, candy, and homemade cookies are not from our caterer, but this will be our menu, so I thought I would include them :-)
