I’m confused, you’re not engaged yet but you’re already getting wedding gifts?

As cheesy as this is, I truly believe that maybe this happened for a reason? I mean don’t get me wrong, this suckksssssss. What a romantic day you planned and now you have to wait, and 10 days!!!! Man, that suckss. But I’m sure when it does happen it’s be amazing!! And clearly you’re going to make a great partner since you’re seriously going all out for the proposal! It shows how much you care!!

@FutureDrAtkins:  I don’t know that the best plan is to tell him!  When you think about it (i’m a waiting bee), how many proposals are delayed due to the ring not being there or the time being right?!  Happens all the time from what I see on here.  How was your proposal?  Was it wonderful?  Or did he have an excuse like ‘Well I wanted to do it but….’

Is there any other possible creative excuse you can come up with?!?  10 days is not THAT long, and it would be a lovely surprise!

ETA:  Just saw your update geez that was quick!  Congrats!

You may have a couple options here:

1) Wait to get the car

2) Take the check to the bank is it drawn off of (if there is one in your area) and cash it or get it made into a Cashier’s check made payable to the dealership

3) Find out if the dealership will let you sign the check over to them

4) Finance the car and then pay off the loan when the check clears

You still have these options if you deposited the check today.  You can go back to your bank, tell them you changed your mind on the deposit, and request the check back, but only if you made the deposit today.

ETA: Glad it worked out!

Can I just ask out of curiousity (not trying to start anything because this is exciting)…

Why are you getting him a car? and more importantly why are you proposing back?

I’ve heard of the guy re-proposing if the girl did it first…but i’m confused :/
