Have a beautiful day! Remember to breath and take every detail in! Do not rush! It is your wedding day!
Good luck sweetie! I hope it's everything you've been dreaming of and more!
Good luck to you and I truly hope you throughly enjoy your big day! Congrats it will be amazing!
Well nothing went right... the preacher mispronounced our last name every time he said it (stand in had to be called the DAY OF because he had a family emergency). Hair and makeup was an hour early because of a miscommunication and the music didn't play as we walked down the aisle. My husband missed his plane to get back home (he's in the military and he had to be back TODAY the day after the wedding for work tomorrow) and the grand total is up to $1,600 just for his plane tickets alone because they had to be changed so much.. Oh and I finally met his sister, and she HATES me. Apparently I'm too "high strung" for her. Yea, I'm not allowed to be stressed on my wedding day I guess!
But it's all over. I'm glad.
If I had to do it all over I'd have done a destination wedding. This was just too much stress for me to handle.
There were good parts I suppose, but overall I would never do it again, honestly. JP all the way! lol
I'm sorry so many things went wrong! At least you got married!
It's okay. It's just frustrating because so much time and money and preperation went into it and the ceremony, which is the most important part, was a disaster!
At least I can say I did the whole wedding thing I guess. I was just disapointed and maybe I expected too much...
Awww sweetie. I'm sorry it wasn't all you wanted it to be. Mistakes happen a lot (my maiden name is mispronounced 99.9% of the time) and I'm sorry you and your SIL didn't get along that well. Maybe in time you two will get to know each other better. I think meeting on your wedding day when you have a lot of stress already is likely not the best time to form first impressions! Don't worry about your music, I honestly can't even remember what our jazz trio played and I was so worried about it beforehand! LOL! Why did your husband miss his flight?!
@bakerella
Because the dork-o left his bag at my parents house and we didn't realize they had his keys in there until an hour and a half before the flight... it took three hours round trip to make it back to the airport! He is sitting in the Baltimore airport for a three hour layover as we speak.... it's taking him 9 hours to get from Texas to North Carolina! lol I guess he won't make that mistake again!
@jamiemichelle:I'm sorry things didn't go smooth. But it's over. You're married! Yay!
@jamiemichelle: *facepalm* The day before the wedding, DH packed up the truck, etc with his GM and drove up to the site about an hour away while I was getting mani/pedis with the girls. I come home to see his overnight suitcase sitting smack dab in front of our front door. So I frantically started calling DH and all the GM trying to figure out why the heck he had left his bag at the house or what happened. Turned out he literally forgot and just walked away from it. Why no one else saw it I have no idea. We ended up meeting halfway later that night so he could have undies for the next day, LOL! Poor guy!
I hope in a couple of days the bad stuff clears from your head and you're able to remember all the really great moments you had! You're married! Yay!
It gets funnier the more I think and talk about it but geeze... I can't even explain it. I wish we had a videographer because our "minister" was illiterate!
It sounds like you are already beginning to look back and laugh, hopefully! I am sorry it didn't go as planned, but it sounds like it was still special. Knowing my FI and I, we would probably start intentionally mispronouncing Mr. Lastname and Mrs. Lastname to each other like the minister did. Congratulations on getting married, and I hope that these little stresses end up being your only glitch in heading towards a long and happy life together!
Oh we were... haha It's become the running joke on facebook!
Hope my 10/16/10 brides had a good weekend. Our wedding was beautiful with just a few minor annoyances but overall the day was gorgeous and the best part is that I married my bestfriend and love of my life!
well i had the best time At our wedding!
@jamiemichelle: LoL !! our priest mispronounced my husbands name , made jokes and was akwardly weird nothing went as planned... mY miL still hates me before and after the wedding for marrying her bby .. the reception toast was a mess i forgot my garter and had to make a ribbon one ect .... but in the end it was a Ours and i am amazingly happY! =)
