Well, at least it’s nice to know someone else over the age of 15 has been in Hot Topic recently.

I needed a new pair of 1/2″ stainless tunnels to sew buttons into to match my wedding dress, and I knew from living in the US that Hot Topic sells them  c h e a p.  I felt thoroughly ridiculous buying things in there, but the girl working there was very non-judgemental and we had a good laugh.

Still, I hustled out of there asap. I do not scare the gothlings.

Hmmm, maybe it’s the Canadian store, but it definitely looked the same as I remember in the states: mostly black with some plaid and spikey influenc, corset-ey goth stuff. The only difference I noticed was that the jeans are all skinny.

Don’t worry, I knew who Bauhaus was. Our hot topic is right next door to claire’s. The gothlings that gather outside of our HT wear “fangs” now. Still on the vampire craze I guess.

Ah, Hot Topic…the gold of my youth! I spent most of my teen years in bondage pants, corsets, and tank tops from HT. I quit when their stuff started turning neon pink and green and carebears or whatever started appearing on everything.

I think kids in their gear look stupid today but I can’t really make fun of them cause I’m sure when I was their age, everyone thought I looked stupid, too.

Although, I still wear my jewelry from there (and Spencer’s), and I still own these boots because they’re awesome. They’re my Daria boots:

I bought them about 7 years ago and they’re still being sold so I assume I’m not the only one who loves them.
