Spain! I love and miss it there, I’m so jealous of you! 🙂 We’re going to Bavaria, Germany and around Austria at the end of the month- I’m pretty excited for some authentic wiener schnitzel.

@Soon2BD-CBee: I’m going to Paris. We love it there. We we were meant to be going to California in Sept but our dog was poorly a couple of months ago and ate at our funds

@Soon2BD-CBee:  oh nice!

my parents have a place in South-East Spain and it’s sooooo cheap to fly easyjet and not have to pay for accommodation. They said we could go for a week this summer to ‘get away’ from the wedding planning, but it’s not so much a money issue than work holiday allowance! Already using over 3 weeks for our honeymoon! 🙂

@Soon2BD-CBee:  Yes we are we can go straight to St. Pancras from where we live. We usually go in December when we go so it’ll be nice to go when it’s a bit warmer.

This summer is the first in ages that we aren’t going abroad. The previous two years we returned to Tuscany where DH used to live.

I do envy you a trip to Spain though. About 5 years ago we took the Eurostar to Paris and then the overnight sleeper to Madrid. We went Grand Classe (nowhere near as expensive as it sounds!) and had a wonderful 4-course dinner and a lovely comfy private cabin. Spain was fabulous too! So next year (hopefully when DH will be a bit more healthy) we’re renting a villa in Spain and the whole (extended!) family are going.

Have lots of fun!

@Soon2BD-CBee:  Oooh! I totally recommend German Christmas markets in Germany too! We went to Berlin a few days before Christmas a while back. It was absolutely magical and their markets are so much better than the poor imitation we’re now getting in the UK.

@Soon2BD-CBee: It is. No never been to Germany though I imagine that’s great around Christmas.

@Soon2BD-CBee:  It’d be a lovely tradition. Also, their Christmasses in Berlin are so much more “Christmassy” and not tacky. They have the most beautifully decorated shops and an outdoor ice rink around nearly every corner. Plus it is properly cold. Not horridly warmish and wet like it so often is in the UK in December.
