Awwe that is making me SO excited for you and SO excited for when my SO and I move out of our apt and all the way from MI to TX (3 months from now!) :) We are also buying our first home soon.
Tip? ENJOY IT! Know that the stress of moving will be TOTALLY worth it...deep breathes and take LOTS of pictures because you'll want to remember this big step someday!!!

We close on Friday too!! It is SUCH an overwhelmingly exciting time. Just take a deep breath, know it will be a crazy few weeks, but once you are all settled -- you aren't going anywhere, for a loooong time, and it's YOURS, all YOURS! Enjoy!

Oh boy! My advice is... try to have fun! I know its hard... and stressful, and it's easy to get tired and be snippy at your S/O. But it's a happy time for sure! Do you have friends helping you move? That can be fun if you order some pizza and supply some cold soft drinks (and HARDER drinks for later). :)

That's so exciting! Good luck to you three! Moving is tough, but make sure you have lots of water handy in the new house. I usually bring some fruit and vitamin water for everyone who's helping us move. I'm really excited for you ladies who are moving this weekend -- such a great feeling! Also, I agree with Maryjane -- try to have fun! Just get everything into the room you think you want it in and then everything can be changed around once it's all in the house :)
This is making me so excited! So many bee's getting houses and moving and closing and oh so many great things! We are just getting ratified as of tonight, but we're set to close April 1. Our relator is doing everything he can to close more quickly, so i think I may need to start packing and sorting soon! ahhhhh.
This will be my 9th move in 7 years (thanks to 4 years of undergrad). Lots of friends, lots of water, and pizza in the end. You'll want food delivered to you! You won't want to go out and you won't want to cook, that's for sure!

So Ottawa and Humarock, how did it go?! Ours went pretty seamlessly and we were able to paint 3 rooms today! The big move in is tomorrow. Fortunately we should have lots of people to help. No pictures from me I'm afraid, my sister still has my camera!
Ours went so smoothly!! And we moved in Saturday with the help of a ton of family and friends .... our interenet was officially set up abooooout 20 minutes ago. And of course I'm on Weddingbee!

We close on Thursday!!! So that makes four of us living in a constant state of "boxes" right now! I'm so excited/nervous/overwhelmed!!! Our first house!!!
Are you bee's doing all the packing yourselves or is it a team effort? FI hates packing, and is a huge procrastinator, so every time I start packing, he gets all "don't pack right now, come snuggle me on the couch". hahaha!
Yay! Thats so exciting! We closed on our house in December and it was crazy for a while, but once you get settled in its so amazing! Good luck! :)

@Vitsippa - We are all moved in now!! I will definitely write a post about it soon, once I get my sanity back :) Lol.

We're moving into our very first house this weekend. I have a tightness in my chest that won't go away but I think it's just anxiety because this is a huge change!! We have our apartment almost packed up, here's a good visual of the current state of affairs:
It's sooooo much work but I'm hoping it'll be so worth it :)
