Ladies, I am so excited to finally say that after 5.5 years of being together the love of my life finally proposed to me yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon FI (ahhh!) told me that he wanted to give me an early Christmas present. I had just gotten out of the shower so I got dressed, dried my hair, straightened my hair, cut my toe nails (haha) and changed the sheets on my bed all while he waited. I was going to start to put my makeup on but he said "Nope, you're getting your present now." He told me to go in the living room and sit on the couch, he goes into his closet and brings out a box about the size of a box of greeting cards. I open up the gift and it is a tin of Sarris Chocolates, he tells me to open up the tin, I do and there is chocolate like usual and a white ring sized box in the middle. I stared at it for a second and I say "C What is this" he said "You know what it is, open it." I open it and he gets on one knee and asks me to marry him. I didn't even look at the ring, I threw it to the side and I tackled him, while crying very hard and screaming "Yes yes omg Yes!!!" We hugged and kissed for a few minutes when we realized that I didn't put the ring on yet. We get the box and he slipped the ring on my finger, and it fit perfectly!

I attached a picture, obviously it's not winning any awards. I am going to read that thread about "How to take pictures of your ring" and then try to take some more at work today.

Ok, I think the picture should work now. I am still going to try to take better pictures.

@Isilme: That's what I plan on doing. I told my Parents and my Brother but I am waiting to tell the rest of my family on Christmas. I can't wait to see their reactions!

I tried taking pictures with my camera but every single time they come out blurry. I think there is something wrong with my camera. Tomorrow my mom is coming to my apartment, she has a really nice camera so I will have her bring it over so I can get some good pictures for your guys.

In the mean time I will let you know that the center stone is a .77ct marquise cut diamond. The setting is an antique style setting and it has .35 ct diamonds on the band. I really hope I can get some good pictures of the ring because I droll over all of the "Show off your rings thread."
