Can I just say how jealous I am?!?! I have been dying for a dog and I am afraid if I bring it up one more time FI will ban me from dogs forever!

aww good luck!! i hope you pick a shelter pup! both of our dogs were rescues. We were lucky in getting Miles when he was 12 weeks old... he will be 6 years old next month. we say he a mix between a german shepard and a beagle. he has the german shepard hair and beagl ears =) Then Last April we adopted Chip. he is a puggle. they think he was about 2 yrs old. =) they love each other and they are both awesome dogs!

@Ms Hedgehog: interesting story- I stopped badgering my then SI for a ring and started badgering him for a dog, so he proposed! Then for my birthday the next year, I got a puppy!

So FI's aunt runs a dog rescue. She posted on FB a week ago that there are a lot of dogs that need foster homes, and I told FI we should take one. Originally we were getting a dog right after the wedding as my wedding gift, but...it's just a foster dog (until I fall in love, right??). So...he thought about it and kept saying "I don't know", "I don't think we should right now" (we are planning a move sometime soon), etc.
Today we got home, and were just sitting there watching TV and I didn't even bring it up and he goes "I think we should get a dog". I can't even imagine my face. I was like "What? Now? For real?" He goes, "ya...I petted a dog today and realized I miss it."
Eeeeee!!!
