Invitations. And like everything else, its driving me crazy!! Serves me right for insisting I have this wedding. How tacky would it be to do phone RSVPs and call it a day??

I have invitation homework to finish too for m designer :/ I’m considering dropping the pocket fold idea and doing a standard invite with a fold open response card with multiple lines :/ to save cash

I am at 122 days – eek! I feel like I have a TON of stuff to do yet. I was looking over my checklist on my The Knot profile this morning and am making mental notes.

Last weekend we went and figured out what we’re going to register for, so that was a big step. I’m also debating on invitations, as I’d like to get the guest list finalized by the end of the month. It’s mainly his side that’s undecided on who to invite – so I’ll probably just send his mom and email one of these days.

Right now, I’m looking at some Walmart invitations to save money. The ones I really want from WPD are $250 more than ones I’m OK with at Walmart, and still are of good quality. I figure – people see them, and them throw them away – why spend the money? I could use that extra $250 somewhere else for something more memorable.

jenilynevette:  my FI is building the frame in the picture – he’s basically creating small metal bases and using them like dowels to support the posts. The crosspiece will rest on the posts. I would recommend seeing if you can find some salvaged doors – or renting a set, if you’re going to pay that much.

I just sent envelopes to the calligrapher, and I’m working with my designer this weekend to get the invites done so they can go to the printer.

I need to rethink my cakes – right now we have 14 singles and a two-tier. I want there to be variation, but I think it’s going to look really scattered at this point.

I need to get childcare sorted out, as well as figure out our escape.

That 100 day mark is gonna hit HARD. Haha.

Kacie209:  Can you show us the invites you like from WPD? Maybe we can help find you a better price – I can also maybe help you design some and get them printed. The guy printing my invites is insanely well priced!

I think my invites are going to match my STDs but be a little more formal. I really loved my STDs 🙂

Only 108 days for me!! I am also working on my invites, getting those done and ordered this week to begin assembling in July and mail out in August. I am going to quit shopping around and book my hair/makeup on Friday as well as order the last of my bridesmaid gifts and cake topper.

lizzieb:  These are the ones I really like, only because they’re the only ones I have found that can hold all of my invitation information. We’re having a small ceremony and a alareg reception, so I have two invites. The reception only invites have more wording, and not a lot of invitations allowed this to fit (without major) editing. I’m OK doing the Walmart inviations, as they’re around $300 total for everything I need.

The RSVP card is the only thing I have to majorly edit, whereas on the Walmart ones – I can do what I want with a blank enclosure card. Decisions… decisions!

** I know they’re not “fall” colored, but I like that they’re simple but also have something to them.

Kacie209:  Fall colors, schmall colors! I think those are really pretty…but is the only reason you chose them really that you couldn’t find anything else to fit the info? I am not a graphic designer (I’m an interior designer…) but I have access to software and can try to help you make something that you’ll like better…if you want, of course.

Then you can print them yourself! Or I can highly recommend my printer, whose prices, like I said, are fabulous. I can PM you his info if you like.

Honestly today I am working on NOT HAVING A PANIC ATTACK! which is easier said then done!! I am stressed and we had 2 weddings 2 weekends in a row where EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG felt it was necessary to remind me of everything I need done in less than 4 months!!

so today the tasks at hand are:

Finalizing bridesmaid dress choices

ordering BM-shoes, jewelry and gifts, GM gifts

finalizing which flower shop we are using

finishing 2nd mock centerpiece

make 1st fitting appointment! (EEEK!)

order my wedding band

schedule 2nd tasting and menu review with caterer

mail last payment on cake

mail last payment on reception venue

find ceremony programs

e-mail updated song list to the DJ

call day of coordinator with information (updated ushers list)

Get hubbies tux picks finalized and get the guys going on measurements

go to zumba class at 2:30 sweat my bumb off….(seriously if it weren’t for FI and zumba and my MOH I would have went bridezilla crazy a LONG time ago!)

oh and remind myself not to finish the pack of mikes hard lemonade in the fridge while planning….I had quit drinking about oh 6 years ago and just started socially drinking now and then because I want to have a handful of drinks at our wedding and don’t want to be stumbling drunk after 2…(I am a lightweight to say the least those 3 hard lemonades would get me rather drunk….but hey atleast im a cheap drunk….)….

glad to see everyones updates! I am FREAKING out about getting everything done! But mostly I am just over planning and ready to FINALLY be married!
