We got married yesterday and our photographer already put a preview picture on his blog!

It was raining the day before, and during the morning on wedding day, and then during the drive up to the ceremony site, but when we got there it stopped raining and we got a gorgeous view of the radiotelescope and the surrounding mountains!
It was a very long day, and my feet still hurt from standing so much and from all the dancing at the recepcion, but yesterday was an amazing day so I don't mind the pain in my feet, lol.
Now I have to get used to saying "husband". It took me long enough to get used to the change from "boyfriend" to "fiance", so let's see how long the change takes me now!

We got married at the Arecibo Observatory. What you see in the background is part of the radiotelescope, specifically the antenna and the housing for the various detectors.

azula i didnt know you were getting married in Puerto Rico... we are planning to go to the observatory with a group of our guest the day after the wedding!! i didnt know you can get married int he observatory... did it cost much?? i bet the pictures are going to be stunning

@Magenta -- Ours was actually the very first wedding they've ever had at the observatory! Fiance My husband and I are both astronomers, and after we got engaged I emailed a professor of mine who worked there and asked him if he thought it'd be possible to have a wedding there, and he told me to contact the director of the observatory. So then I emailed the director and he said it was ok and then directed me to the folks who manage the visitor's center, where the ceremony would take place, to work out the details. Everyone there was pretty excited about the wedding in the months leading up to it -- my mom even mentioned that she has an aunt who took her grandkids to the observatory a couple weeks ago and said that the group guide mentioned our wedding to the group! A lot of employees stayed around to watch when we arrived yesterday and everything (the ceremony took place after the visitor's center closed), though I'm not sure if they stayed all through the ceremony because I was only looking at fiance my husband!! I'll PM you with more details :)
