Hey ladies! It's been FOREVER since I've posted but I really wanted to share some photos from our wedding to help any bride's out on planning. A lot of the decor and what not we DIY'd and I can tell you how we did it if you want to message me. I don't have any tutorials or anything, but I can tell you step by step!

This pic is one of my favs. We planned on using a bubble machine for our exit since I couldn't think of anything else, and it ended up being left in my nana's car. Needless to say, Nana left after cake cutting, along with my bubble machine. My AWESOME photographer thought to tell the DJ to instruct everyone to grab a sash from the back of the chairs and wave them as we were leaving like you did as a kid with the ribbon wand things. It turned out AWESOME!

Bouquets. We didn't DIY these but I loved the pic :)

I don't know if anyone remembers but I had a really hard time with the bridesmaids dresses. I wasn't fond of the bright hot pink/orange colors in dresses... so i had my girls wear black with hot pink and/or orange accessories. 1 junior wore pink, the other wore orange and they carried lollipops that my mom and I attached tulle/ribbon to.

My cake.

Grooms cake... the entire thing is edible :)

I made the hangers. You can tell they are DIY but it took me a week to finish all of them, and all my girls had the hardest letters possible LOL.

Pew cones my mom and I made

My guestbook. I printed mad libs that I created on the computer and attached a card titled "I Remember When..." for guests to fill out for my scrapbook.

...and my favorite picture from the whole night :)
Beautiful! You did a great job. Love your shoes!
Your photographer is very creative. Great idea to wave the sashes.
Wow, way to go photographer!! You looked beautiful and it looks like everyone had a blast. Congrats!!!!
Yeah she is! I was REALLY impressed with how that all went down because we could have just ended up walking out with nothing... which would have been boring!
and thank you :) we (my dad, mom, and i) worked REALLY hard to pull it all together and it was 100% worth it
@mkathleenwhite: Thank you! I know we had a great time! :)
Congrats! It came out so pretty! I love all of the details that you worked so hard on. My favorite is the guestbook!
@jude7186: I had the hardest time with my guestbook. I know it sounds so silly, but I didn't want the traditional book cause I knew it would sit in a corner of a bookshelf somewhere and collect dust. I had SO many idea's like a photo book, a polaroid camera with instant photos and doing a photo booth style set up... nothing worked. Except this :) I got some HILARIOUS responses from it
Awww, what a fun and happy bunch of pictures! I love it! Congrats :)
Very nice! Kudos to the photog for coming up with the sash waving idea! Pretty pics! Congrats!
Gorgeous! Everything is beautiful and I adore your wedding cake. It is so different.
WOW! Congrats !! Everything looks beautiful and the cake looks yummy! Is the bling on the cake edible?
@Miss Lemmons: I can Imagine... You must have gotten some really silly responses! haha! Did you use a template or did you make up the wording and designs on your own? Maybe you can make a DIY about it! =)
WOW! You and your groom look so incredibly happy in that last photo! I love your vibrant colors, the cake, and using the chair sashes as streamers is a brilliant idea!! I think you should make a separate post just on that idea...a great time and money saver!! Congrats!
Your wedding looks amazing! Your dress is beautiful, and you looked gorgeous! I agree, that last photo is my favorite too! Looks like you had an amazing wedding!! I love your colors, and SO love all the DIY! :)
Congrats!!
LOVE your cake! and your exit pics with the sashes! soo neat! congrats! you looked gorgeous :)
That first picture is Fabulous!!!! They all look great though and you look gorgeous! Congrats, looks like it was a blast! :)
I love the idea that you had your girls in black and had them accessorize in your colors! Everything looks beautiful.
Mind sharing how you did your cones? I want to do them also but when I tried rolling the sheet of paper I couldn't get it to work. Maybe I need to take remedial cone making 101!. Also how did you attach your ribbon? I'm afraid the weight of the flowers will pull the ribbon down. Here is my inspiration.

@Kamazing: The bling on the cake is actually ribbon, so no, it's not edible. The other layers are, however. Including the rosette's and the pearls... although I wouldn't recommend eating them but it IS possible lol.
@jude7186: I did that all on my own. I downloaded the fonts from a website called dafont.com, and then just figured out the sizing and what not and put it all together myself. It was actually fairly easy to do.
@Bearsmomma: We actually took a styrofoam cone and that really helped us to figure out how to shape it. It took me a few tries, but I finally got it. We used 12x12 scrapbook paper, figured out how we wanted it to roll and then hot glued it. We glued the paper to the cone to keep it tight, and then hot glued at the seams. We hung it by punching 2 holes at the top of the cone and hung them through there. I used 2 hydrangea's in my cones and they were REALLY light. If I find the tutorial I used i'll send it to you.
Thanks ladies for all your wonderful comments :)
Here's the steps for the tutorial I used to make my cones. You can always tweak them to your liking... for instance, I wrapped ribbon around the cone, but you can tie the ribbon like this girl did or create a bow and glue it. Whatever works.
Items Needed:
12x12 sheet of scrapbooking cardstock
2 bunches of white hydreangea (or the flower of your choice)
Ribbon of your choice
Tape
Hole punch
Directions:
1. Put cardstock on a flat surface. Pull up the left bottom corner and roll it up along the left side of the paper to make a cone shape. You have to keep pulling it back so your "roll" stays on the left side of the paper, but it's not hard. Just play with it until you get your desired cone shape.
2. Once you have your cone shape, tape up the side with packaging tape. Or you can use glue. Tape was easier for me, and you can't see the back anyway.
3. To make the ribbon sash on the front, cut about 30-35in. of ribbon. Find the midpoint of the ribbon and wrap it around the center of the cone. So the center of the ribbon should be around the center of the cone. Tie a single knot in the back of the ribbon and tape the knot to the cone. The rest of the ribbon should hang nicely!
4. Punch 2 holes in the back of the cone about 3 - 4 inches apart. Thread another piece of ribbon through the holes to create a "hanger." The length of the ribbon will depend on how wide your church pews are!
5. Simply trim your flower stems to fit the length of the cone and drop them inside and VOILA....you have your pew cone!!
I bought a booklet of 12x12 scrapbooking cardstock. This pack had a variety of prints, but I just wanted to use one for a mock up. I am going to order individuals of the same sheets of the scrapbook cardstock to make all of the cones. I am also planning on getting the white hydreangea from either Michael's or Hobby Lobby. The ribbon used was something I had already gotten from Hobby Lobby.

I actually think I found this DIY on weddingbee, but I can't seem to find it now. If someone knows who it is or knows where to find it, I'd love to give them credit.
Love the Sash idea. Added lots of color for your send-off.
DH would've killed for the grooms cake. Loved all your Details.
Congrats!!!
@squeak35: Yeah, my photographer did a great job with that. Much better than the bubbles :) As far as the grooms cake... originally we were gonna do something different and plain, and the lady who did my cake (i work with her husband) offered to do his cake at a GREAT price so I caved lol. It was a surprise for him...
Thanks, ladies!!!
Gorgeous! Love the chair sash idea. Your colors are so pretty and you looked gorgeous. Love your dress!
Beautiful! Love that ribbon pic and your bridemaids' looks are great!
The grooms cake is awesome and your photographer came up with a brilliant Plan B for your send off. Such great pics! Thanks for sharing. :)

You looked beautiful and so did everything else. You did an amazing job :) Congrats on your marriage.
@Bella88: I can't remember the specific color, but I remember the consultant asking if i wanted the other color which was like paper white. So i went with this white which was "muted" in comparison...
Thanks everyone!!! We had SUCH a great time and everything turned out EXACTLY how I imagined! :)
