Haha me too!! I’m having a Pre-Honeymoon at DisneyWorld (which is a much bigger deal for people living in New Zealand!).

Just turns out that my office has compulsory shut down over summer and christmas holidays, I’ll take an extra week, my FI is already going to be in the states so effectively don’t need to pay for his tickets… Mum and Dad think I’m nuts but who cares! It may mean I have to go to work a day or so after being married but oh well, DisneyWorld is soooooo worth it and I’m totally excited too!!!

LOVE Disney! I went to Disneyland for a day in 2006, was the greatest day EVER and I’m hoping I can replicate this at DisneyWorld in January 😀

And my FI and I have already admitted to each other we are way more excited about this than the wedding lol (the party planning part, not the husband and wife part – we are excited about this).

I love Disneyland! I have never been to Disneyworld, I like the original Disneyland in Anaheim, CA! Last year my dad, sister, FI and I went on a trip to the States to visit family (we live in Australia, but dad comes from the States and most of his family live there still) and do a little bit of a road trip. We went to Disneyland for three days at the beginning and I was so excited to show FI the greatest theme park in the world! The ones we have here are all so much smaller (about the size of one of the ‘lands’) and almost all the rides are ‘big’ rides, so I spend most of the time sitting down waiting for everyone else! But Disneyland I go on almost everything, FI was surprised that he even enjoyed some of the littler rides (even my favourite – the Peter Pan ride). I managed to drag him onto ‘It’s A Small World’, which my father and sister refused to go on – they have been on before and hate it, but because FI hadn’t been there before he had to try it once. He refused to go on it again so I went on a couple more times by myself lol.

ETA: Oh and we went there in our winter holidays (the only long enough holidays here besides Christmas), which is summer over there – kids everywhere. Let me tell you if you are having crazy baby fever and are in no way ready to start a family yet or don’t want to start a family yet, go to Disneyland in the summer holidays, instant cure!

You will have a blast OP!

You guys are going to have so much fun, congratulations! My fiance and I planned a trip to Disneyland between our third and fourth dates… That’s how I knew he was the one! 😉 But seriously, I’m obsessed with Disney and love the parks. My fiance and I are planning on going to Disney World for our honeymoon, and my excitement for that may have eclipsed my excitement for the wedding…

how fun! the last couple of months are the most stressful (at least i think so), so it’ll be nice for you guys to get away for a few days.

i’m such a disney freak and it didn’t take me long to convert my husband! one of our first trips together was to disneyland and it holds such a special place in our hearts. we go as often as we can. our annual passes expired in june and we’ve been going thru withdrawals ever since!

so excited for you 🙂

We got engaged on our Disney vacation. Our situation was similar to yours, I’d been to Disneyland a few times but my FI had never been. I felt like that was a crime! So I made it a point for us to go, little did I know we’d get engaged there lol

MrsYellowDaffodil:  I don’t think you’re crazy at all. Sometimes you just need a break and, as long as you’re done with wedding stuff go and have a great time!

wifetobee63:  My FI had never been to any of those things. No Disney parks, no universal studios, no six flags, no nothing. I just found it crazy that throughout his life he’d traveled all over the world yet not once had he been to an amusement park. I grew up in the Midwest, and my parents still managed to take me, but I guess that sort of thing wasn’t important in his family.

We chose Disneyland because it was the closest to us. I’d like to visit Disneyworld someday but that will take a lot more money to achieve
