so nervous i was shaking. social anxiety meant the idea of people looking at me (entrance, first dance) was terrifying!!

not about marriage though, only the wedding itself. i enjoyed it over all though!

I wasn’t nervous AT ALL! Only excitement and nerves for the day to go well.  I got excited before our first look but not really nervous.  I thought I was good to go until I was literally standing at the altar about to say my vows and freaked out! haha.  I mean, seriously almost felt sweat! It was the weirdest feeling.  It wasn’t scared/nervous about getting married, but as the pastor was reading the vows for me to repeat, it hit me that I had really never “practiced”.  I was so nervous to talk and say the vows in front of our guests! haha It really was the strangest thing. Like a MILLION thoughts went through my head in a span on 10 seconds.  I remember thinking, just look into his eyes..and that’s what I did.  Sounds sappy but it really was what got me through the vows!  I sometimes get a little sad that I don’t remember much of the ceremony (so thankful we have a video!) but I always go back to when I said my vows, I remember it like it was yesterday. Crystal clear.

I was not – I had planned (and did) get up a bit early, I put on headphones (Green Day) and went outside and did 1/2 hour of yoga before we started with hair, make-up etc. I was blissful throughout the day.

Now – the day before the wedding – that is another story!  It was hell.  And afterwards, my friend said “yeah, the day before the wedding sucked for me too” – I wish I would have known that earlier and maybe would not have been so stressed!

not at all actually.  I was excited, elated, calm, emotional, but definitely not nervous.  We planned everythng down to the most minute detail so on the wedding day I didn’t worry about anything.

I was just ready!!  I was really emotional and excited and I was ready.  I felt like I was floating all day.  Nothing was going to bring me down, even when I got the call that a bridesmaid couldn’t make it because she was in the ER with a terrible case of the flu.  It’s crazy how all the stress disolves and you’re just confident and calm and ready to get it done.

Not very. I held it together pretty well, probably because I started drinking champagne at like 9am while I was getting my hair done. πŸ˜‰

(and just so I don’t sound like a total lush, I actually only drank water at the reception)

Not at all! And I was convinced I was going to pass out walking down that aisle, but I was more excited than ever!

I remember feeling so beautiful that I was like, “I just want to get to the church already so my love can see me!”

Not at all.  I was super chill all morning and just got more and more excited as the day went on.  I had a chance to come down when I got annoyed at my SIL for wanting me to stop and get her chicken nuggets on our way to the venue.  πŸ™‚

We had been together for 6 years when we got married.  It was time.  We were sure.

A little bit. I really wanted people to like the event so I was a little nervous about how things would go, but not about actually marrying my husband.

I was nervous, but it was the excited nervous.  I was really emotional.  I was better after DH and I got drinks at the bar.  πŸ™‚
