White and yellow:I’m totally crazy with this color scheme. Lots and lots of white with accents of yellow here and there in an outdoors setting =). I was surprised by my own choice because I’m not so crazy about yellow as a color on its own. I’d even say that I don’t like it that much.
But I’m totally in love when it is combined with white. Go figure!
Any bride had this experience?

Yep I am, we are going for light green and ivory. I never wear green and my favourite colour is red.

Yep. Always intended to have a very clean red white and black theme, this then changed into autumnal colours to make it less harsh and that has somehow turned into orange and ivory. Orange??? Where on earth did that come from? I’m still not sure how I ended up settling on those colours, but I’m loving it.

Me too. I love dark reds, bottle greens, deep blue, anything strong but subtle, dont like pastels and dont like too much in your face……..so how i ended up with purple and organge is anyone’s guess!

@Umbrelline: We were exactly the same! I’ve never been a yellow lover, but when we decided on getting hitched in the Cook Islands, it was a natural and tropical choice 🙂

I love this color combo! So gorgeous, vibrant, and fresh! 🙂

While I am not surprised at why I chose my colour scheme (blue is FI’s favourite and purple is mine) I am surprised how well the colours go together 🙂

I’m not exactly surprised at my choice (red, white, black) because I like those colors. I’m surprised at how well they worked out. My favorite color is pink and FI’s is blue and I just felt bad having a pink wedding and I don’t like dark blue with black which is the color the guys are wearing. So we chose red because FI said he likes red roses for a wedding. Turns out the ballroom at the venue we chose is red and gold so our colors work great in the room!

Nope, not surprised at all! My SO’s favorite color is also green, so green for us was a no-brainer. We’re also using espresso, cream, and either plum or lavender (haven’t decided which goes best with fern green, I’m leaning towards plum).

Yes. I’m not a huge fan of red and I wanted to avoid making my wedding look like Christmas… well, guess what my main wedding colour is! Red!

kinda- I knew I wanted dark purple but the whole scheme we came up with was not what I would have predicted. Eggplant, lavender, peach, coral, white.

I wasn’t surprised at all, I’ve loved the color pink ever since I was 4.

@Umbrelline: no, i used pink, and pink is my favorite color.

Originally I wanted a fall wedding with traditional fall colours, but then fall wasn’t a possibility, so we had a winter wedding… and I needed to come up with something. I wanted something warm and something a little different than just purple and black, red and black and def not icy blue and silver… I finally stumbled upon cranberry and plum! Red is my favorite colour and purple is my husband’s so it was a hit!

I wanted a pastel-heavy palette originally because Outer Banks, everything is painted pastel colors there. But I scrapped that idea and now I have deep purple, turquoise, and light green as my colors. I never thought I’d be including turquoise.
