Any cow”girl” boot wears that can tell me where to get some nice boots with a higher heel? I found some on Amazon.com, but they do not have the color I want in my size.
Something similar to this, sorry I can not save the pic. They have a 3″ heel.

I used to be in sales at Cavender’s Boot City.
The average heel height for a ladies boot will be about 2 1/3 in. This will include brands such as Corral, Ariat, Justin, Old Gringo, etc. Corral does sell some boots that have a “fashion heel” that will have a 3 in heel. I suggest heading over to a western store to take a look around. This boots are a little different than what you are looking for. Something comparable to the link you posted would be the Dingo brand boots that have a higher heel used for traditional country dancing. I highly recommend Corral or Old Gringo if you are looking for a boot that will last you many years. I am wearing the Old Gringo “Bonnie” for our wedding. Check out http://www.cavenders.com/ to see some styles and descriptions. I hope this helps!

@MrsBrown13: I get all of my boots from a local store in Portland, but Sheplers.com is also a great website as is Boot Barn.
If you’re looking for some cheap ones to just have and wear every so often and not to actually work on a farm in, I suggest looking on Ebay. There’s some inexpensive Chinese mades on there often. 🙂

Thanks ladies. I really want something with a higher than normal heel. I realize this is very unusual. I love the Jessica Simpson Abilene boot, but good luck finding some that do not cost a fortune. I really want the heel becuase I am five foot four and my Fiance is six foot four. He told me I was just going to have to figure out what is more important to me, being taller and making the photos look even or wearing my boots. On shelpers.com they have some old fashioned boots with a heel but I doubt I would ever wear them again and can not see paying so much for them.
I do not really care about the longevitiy, I just do not want them to look cheap, like some I found on Amazon.com. It is not like I would be wearing these everyday, like my normal boots, they would be more for church and dinner out or whatever.
Jessica Simpson boots.
