I live in Calgary and getting married on August 23rd in NW Calgary.
I do have a question for those who are familiar with Calgary: where would be a good place to have pictures indoors in NW Calgary? (As a contingency in case it is raining.) Thanks in advance!
Missbean - the Devonian Gardens is an idea - very lush and still outdoorsy. And your wedding would be just in time - the gardens are closing on October 1, 2008 for an 18 month renovation!

We're getting married in our church in Ranchlands and our reception is at the Sheraton across the street from COP.
That's cool that they are getting renovated - I didn't know that! I'm uncertain as to whether it might be a bit too far out of the way. Has anyone been inside any of the buildings at COP? Are they photo-worthy?
Me again! One of my girlfriends had her reception at COP - at the ATCO Centre - they did some of their photos in the Hall of Fame and they turned out FABULOUS! I *think* you can also take photos at the ski jump ... how crazy would that be!
