Horray, a few of our propics came back in the form of a blog! We had our (unpermitted, “pop-up”) ceremony in Brooklyn and then walked with our procession through one of our fave neighborhoods before heading to our evening reception at a speakeasy-style cocktail bar/resto. Also our pups made an appearance!
I can’t wait to get the rest of the pics back, but I’m so happy so far. We wanted lots of color, and thats what we got! What do you bees think?
My only sadness is that my smile is kind of jacked up from residual effects of Bells Palsy, which I had about 3 years ago- my smile is now kind of crooked and my eye droops a little bit when I’m smiling hard, which I find to be really distracting in pictures but no one else seems to notice. Nothing I can do about that, though…

Your wedding looked amazing!!! I love your dress!!!

I’ve been waiting to see your dress in action, boy it didn’t disappoint. You were wonderfully unique and pretty. What a fun wedding that looked like. You guys had some great unique shots from just walking threw NY, what a great idea.

@bkrocks13: Looks like a fantastic day!! Your dress is so funky, I love it!!

Your dress is spectacular! The whole funky vibe is awesome, and I particularly like your guest with the embroidered suit

@luluvohn: that suit is epic- he and his wife (the brunette in the blue/white dress) lived in india for 19 months and it’s where he proposed. They bought a bunch of bolts of fabric there and she made her wedding dress out of it, and his suit is custom made with a liner of the same red/gold silk fabric. It’s a dope suit!

The pictures are amazing ! I didn’t notice anything odd related to your smile and eyes (I read this part after seeing all the pictures), don’t worry, people are telling you the truth it’s not noticeable, you know because you’re used to seeing yourself upclose and analyzing your face, but to other people it doesn’t show ! 😉 You seemed to have a lot of fun and your guests too, and I love your style !

@Atalanta: Thanks!! Again, the brunette with the blue/white dress (not the one who was out officiant) made all of my flowers out of paper after the dress came in. She is in. sanely talented. It’s redic how beautiful they look. She made the bouquet so it could be taken apart and I presented 3 pieces to the three moms, and then kept one piece for myself (it’s hanging in our livingroom) You can see my mom and his mom with their pieces here:
I am SO glad we went the paper route- now we have something to keep forever!!
