Hi ladies! I could use some advice/feedback. I will try to make this short… for Mothervs Day my husband and his brother wanted to give their mom Morher’s rings as she oftem admired mine. We chose a seller on Etsy with great reviews, a brick and mortar store, and positive Yelp reviews as well. We chose a simple setting as she does not wear lots of jewelry. A bezel set bubble style about 2.4 mm wide 3/4 eternity- just like one of my rings only white gold. One Ring is citrine and the other emerald. She loved them but within a week the Emerald lost a stone. She sent it back and it was replaced and returned to her. Within another week the citrine lost a stone. again she sent it back and while it was away being repaired the emerald lost two more stones! now I was pretty upset as this is absolutely unacceptable and spoke to the jeweler myself. He agreed to remake the rings in their entirety which he did. After receiving the new rings and wearing them just three times the Emerald has lost a stone! I can’t believe it!! I thought bezel set was supposed to be very secure and she is very careful with her jewelry. She only wears them when she goes ou -t not all the time like I do. this has become quite embarrassing obviously for myself my husband and his brother. We feel just aweful! I can’t understand what is going wrong! I am going to demand that the seller accept the rings as a return and look elsewhere but has anyone else experienced this with bezel set rings? Is it because citrine and emerald are a little softer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
