I wouldn't let it happen, but that is just me. I don't think it would look bad, I think you can go to the David's Bridal site and put together a facsimile of your wedding party to see what they would look like. It is not exact, but it would give you an idea.
Obviously it won't all match, but I don't think it will be that big of a deal. Just depends on if you mind how it looks. I agree, if you could use one of the online simulators like the one from DB, you could get a better idea.

I asked my fiance to pick out what the guys will be wearing. I did the girls, and know NOTHING about guys clothes. So he finally went and chose a tux, lalala, all's well. Then I bring up what his sister has said about her husband (a GM) - namely, that he wants to wear a suit that he already has. My FI thinks this is a great idea, but he still wants to wear his tux, and just let the other guys wear a suit or the tux that we picked. So we'll end up with probably two GM's in a tux, two in a suit, and the groom in a suit.
I'm not sure if this will be weird or not... different formality levels and all, although the tuxes look an awful lot like suits. What does the hive say?
