Since I met my fiance, he opened me up to board games (cooperative, competitive, short games, long games, or campaign games) and video games. I never played any of those before. As well as miniature painting. He also shown me how to be adventurous with food (restaurant or cooking). I now watch sports games in person (baseball and hockey).
On the other hand, my fiance told me that I opened him up to travel. Before he used to go every year to the same location, same hotel, same activities that he has done since he was a kid. He now have a bucket lists of places and things he would like to see and try. He also now do hiking, gardening, and we have our own small hobby farm. He never knew he will one day be involved in growing our own food.

Not necessarily an adventure, but golf! He’s always enjoyed it a lot and I’d always thought it was really silly and boring (way to stereotype). I bought him some golf lessons for his birthday and he begged me to take them with him. I wasn’t good at it at all, but started building some desire to get better. We played a lot of golf last season and while my game is nothing to brag about, I really love the quality time we spend together doing it. A good round can take 4+ hours, we’re out in nature, just him and I. I absolutely love how he supports me and helps me get better and how happy it makes him that I’m there with him.

- Wedding: August 2013 - Wynn Las Vegas
I always enjoyed life before I met DH, but since we have been together I have opened myself up to new things, and made SO many new, close friends in the process. DH is a massive soccer fan. We are now on a supporters squad for our local team (LA Galaxy), and we have travelled to watch them play. All of our closest friends are involved in that too, so its amazing.
We go to London 2 times a year to see his family and friends (he moved to CA to marry me). I have travelled to a lot of Europe now as a result of our relationship, and all of his friends have become mine.
Before I met him I had always wanted to go to a music festival. Now we go to 2-3 a year! We are big into concerts, and if our favorite bands are playing in new places we will make a point to go see them on the road.
It’s a good ol’ life.

DH has gotten me into cars. I always enjoyed car shows with my dad growing up, but DH has gotten me more interested into learning more about cars. He’s taught me how to change the oil in my car and walked me through changing the brake rotors on one of his cars. He’s also helped me get better at driving a stick shift. He also does autocross races and I love riding along with him when I can.

Concerts! My DH is a huge music lover so I started going to concerts with him. The first one was rough, but now it’s fun to see how many concerts I’ve been to with him. I’ve taken him to a few too.
Also, I don’t really like driving and get stressed out on the road, but he loves it and has a great sense of direction, so he has widened my realm of adventure quite a bit.

- Wedding: A restaurant on the beach
My FI is going to introduce me to scuba diving on our honeymoon. He got certified in university and loved it so I’m going to try! I’ve introduced him mostly to new foods. He’s very American and my family is West Indian so he’s become more adventurous with his appetite.

This is going to sound weird, but – programming. I did not grow up being fascinated by technology or surrounding myself with technologically-minded people. We’ve both always enjoyed traveling and trying new things, but if I hadn’t met him I would never have imagined wanting to spend two hours on a beautiful summer day staring at a computer screen!

cik2017 : Hunting and shooting. I had never seen a gun in real life until I met FI, now we hunt and shoot together, and it has become one of my favorite things to do.

My DH recently taught me how to play video games. We have a standing Mario Kart date now. 😂

Hiking! I always loved the outdoors and had gone on canoe trips and biking trips in the past, but never had done any serious hiking until I met my fiancé. We took a trip to Switzerland to hike in the alps two years ago and it was the best vacation I have ever been on!

He got me into hockey. I’m now a certifiably rabid hockey fan and can talk for hours about my team, teams/players I hate, team/players I like, the draft, players in the minors, etc.
I got him into hiking, running, and cooking healthy, tasty foods. We hike at least 1-2x per week with our two dogs and he ran his first 10K last November. And we love to cook together.

Before my FI and I got together he was all about video games and rarely went outside. Since we’ve been together we’ve been on many hiking adventures, camping trips, cabin stays, road trips, and we’ve moved across the country.
He did get me into disc golf, and now I’m about as good as he is if not better haha. We have fun together!
