I’m starting to panic becuase i am not panicing at all. I am also confused by DIY (in a sense).
I know i have time (about 10 months) but I am oddly starting to panic because it doesn’t seem as hard as the night mares I hear
I have a venue, cake, food, dj, dress, shoes, flowers, invites, maid dresses, we have registered and registered for our flutes, cake cutter, and guest book. We have hotels booked and sent save the dates, photographer
we are dicussing: favors, getting the guys tuxs, honeymoon and bridal gifts. once all of that is settled we need the seating chart
What am I missing???? This all doesn’t seem to overwhelming which is what is making me thing I am missing a bunch.
Also I am confused about DIY. All I hear are brides saying I am DIY this for the weeding, All I do it hot glue….what is there to really DIY? we may DIY our invites, and we have flower center peices so what else is there really to DIY?
If I have the normal stuff all covered what are some Little added touches that I can do?

@Yennifer: You don’t HAVE TO DIY anything at all. A lot of brides do because they like the look, want a personal touch, can’t find exactly what they want ready-made or are trying to save money. If you are having your flowers done, don’t want handmade invitations/signs/favors/decor than don’t. The only glaring thing I see missing from your list is an officiant! I assume you have someone who’s going to, you know, MARRY YOU 🙂

I would check out The Knot for their to-do lists–that was something that helped me find things I was forgetting, like making makeup and hair appointments, for example.
For me, as the wedding is getting closer, there is a lot more little stuff to do. I have had like a three month lull, but now stuff is picking up again.
For example, here is my 1-2 weeks before the wedding to-do list:
Confirm hair, makeup, nails appts
Make taxi reservation
Get marriage license
Make seat signs
Pack wedding night bag
Cash for tips
Get anything we need for nail appt – donuts? mimosas? coffee?
Call honeymoon hotel about upgrade
Pack honeymoon suitcase
Get eyebrows waxed
Find out if hotel does airport shuttle
Figure out when/how we’re getting bouts and corsages
Write vows into books
Check weather and acquire bad weather items if necessary
Print readings for readers
Assemble place cards and personal notes
