What am I missing for my Wedding?

@Yennifer:  You don’t HAVE TO DIY anything at all. A lot of brides do because they like the look, want a personal touch, can’t find exactly what they want ready-made or are trying to save money. If you are having your flowers done, don’t want handmade invitations/signs/favors/decor than don’t. The only glaring thing I see missing from your list is an officiant! I assume you have someone who’s going to, you know, MARRY YOU 🙂

I would check out The Knot for their to-do lists–that was something that helped me find things I was forgetting, like making makeup and hair appointments, for example.

For me, as the wedding is getting closer, there is a lot more little stuff to do. I have had like a three month lull, but now stuff is picking up again.

For example, here is my 1-2 weeks before the wedding to-do list:

Confirm hair, makeup, nails appts
Make taxi reservation
Get marriage license
Wrap/prepare gifts
Make seat signs
Pack wedding night bag
Cash for tips
Get anything we need for nail appt – donuts? mimosas? coffee?
Call honeymoon hotel about upgrade
Pack honeymoon suitcase
Get eyebrows waxed
Find out if hotel does airport shuttle
Figure out when/how we’re getting bouts and corsages
Write vows into books
Check weather and acquire bad weather items if necessary
Print readings for readers
Assemble place cards and personal notes
Confirm toasts
