I think it will be fine. You don’t need to spend the extra money, as long as you are serving dinner afterward.

it’s totally cool to serve veggie sticks and cheese.

Just wondering, have you decided on your lunch menu yet?

@fzesguer:  I wish I could give you some of mine! I wish my venue came with a much smaller cocktail hour.

Also, considering the fact that it’s lunch, I change my vote from the earlier post to the buffet. I thought it was for dinner. A lot of people will just want the salads.

I voted for 6 but then I read it was a lunch wedding, so I think you can totally get away with the vegetables!

@fzesguer:  Sounds great to me. 8 different salads! That’s cool…my guests aren’t even getting one.

@fzesguer:  I agree with all if the PPs that your appetisers will be fine for a lunch time reception. As long as you fill people up afterwards with good food I doubt anyone will mind.

yeah, you’re fine. i didn’t do much for appetizers for my wedding and as far as i know, there were no complaints. i think if you have a lot of appetizers available, people fill up on those and aren’t even hungry when it’s time for dinner, so a lot of food gets thrown away.
