I'm a newly engaged woman and I am color-confused. We just can't decide on a scheme because we love everything (except fall colors; our wedding will most likely be in summer). What is everyone else doing?
we having a destination wedding and are keeping our colours very tropical: fuschia and orange
Purple, lime green, and orange! I want the whole thing to be super colorful.
We aren't having a color scheme as most people know it. We are just blending colors that fit our Victorian theme.
We did a lot of ivory and lace with chocolate brown and accents of kiwi green
I'm a fall wedding, so my colors are scarlet, chocolate, and cream. I didn't want a color palette, either, and I'm still sort of resisting it! It does make everything easier, though.
Our summer wedding is clover green and white with a very small hint of dark pink (only a few pink flowers) and a small hint of ivory. My fiance picked out the green I would of chosen fushia.
we're having a palette of colors... shades of pinks, glassy blues, jadite green, kraft, creams, and black. i'm going for an eclectic, old timey, vintage vibe.
Purple & turquoise, and possibly black and/or silver accents. Only because they are my favorite colors. I really have no idea about themes/etc.
ours is more of a theme: seaside elegance
So far the colors included are lt blue, lt green, lavender..white, red and pink..
yeah, it was soo fun meeting florist to try and explain my vision without them going you should only pick two colors or it will look diasterious!
ivory and a light-mustard, with a less-bright-red as an accent. sorry for all the descriptions. whenever i just say "white, yellow and red" people keep saying "...like fire?"
Ours were burgundy, champagne and little accents of gold.
Trying to go with Red and Purple.. key word.. trying. you would not believe how many inpiration pages and things i've looked at! seriously lacking that creativity gene =(
this page is fun and has lots of ideas: Perfect Palette
Blush, ivory and gold. So far though I am a little heavy on the ivory. :)
@nevjcu: Ours are very similar! ("Blush pink, gold, and ivory"). However, I'm also hoping to do "pops" of red.
I'm not even engaged but I think my colours would be turquoise, white, and some brown!
This is my favorite blog for looking at wedding colors.
[We're doing royal blue and silver for our NYE wedding]
We had mostly red and white, which fit into our Valentines Day wedding and theme. Also the national colours of Canada, where we both live and were the wedding took place. This is also a great place for colour ideas: http://www.colourlovers.com/
I'm doing pool/aqua blue. The reason is b/c I couldn't decide what color bridesmaid dress might look good on everyone. So it was suggested to me that aqua tends to look good on everyone.
then I realized a "water" color was perfect b/c I'm an "ocean"-kinda person: i was born by the beach, went to h.s. with a few of my bridesmaids by the beach, love going to the beach and looking at the ocean, wedding's in the summer, and we're spending a lot of our honeymoon by the ocean.
We never really figured out what our colors were supposed to be. We probably had more ivory and gold than anything else. However, we mixed in other colors.
orange, gray and green! :)
My dress is silvery gray, BM's are in green, shoes are orange! :)
Black and white with accents of yellow (or orange - haven't decided yet)
YAY
for now im thinking slate grey, deep deep purple, and accents of espresso brown...hope it's not too hard!
Blue (king/navy), white, and deep gold. FI gives me a hard time about these all the time since they *happen* to be my sorority colors (blue and gold). :)
black and white with pops of ivory and bright green!!! :) ohhh and some damask accents as well! fi picked the colors n we ran with it!
Hi - mine is turquoise, silver and royal blue. I'm having an October destination wedding, so needed colours that would fit a winter reception back home in November.
Did you have anything in mind?x
So far I'm thinking a bright aqua blue, with a bright purple, and possibly a few accents of hot pink :)
Brown and light blue, with dark fuschia accents.
Neutrals will be tan and white.
