CallMeMrsG: Ugh, I’m tired of being on a tight budget, and I’m so tired of giving my husband socks and underwear for Christmas. So this year I am doing a 12 days of Christmas to make it a little more fun.  Still giving him t-shirts, socks and underwear, but interspersed with 3 kinds of his favorite homemade cookies and 2 kinds of homemade candies, a Starbucks gift card, and I am doing our very sad old dining room chairs over like this (not quite this style) and recovering them with brown leather seats:

My grown kids are getting clothes, shoes, boots, and gloves.  Granddaughters are getting magazine subscriptions and homemade satin matching dresses for them and their dolls. Mostly Boring gifts. Oh, well.

CallMeMrsG:  My chairs aren’t quite that style, but I hope the paint and finish comes out as nice.  Hoping the leather on the seats comes out awesome too!

I got the idea for the 12 days of Christmas on here from last year or the year before.  I finally figured out how to do it, with items DH will like, but won’t cost a fortune. lol

CallMeMrsG:  For the hubs, he’s a big A Christmas Story fan. We watch it every year.

And some kind of tools. Because our wedding is in January we decided to keep it low-key and just do stockings. Even though they tend to over flow a bit… haha.

Not sure for everyone else yet, we’re doing more homemade gifts again this year, jams, and baked goods. It was a big hit last year and it was fun spending some time toegther making people their gifts.

Hubby/Hubby/SO – Not sure yet. I usually get him games or something like that, but the only thing he would want is a PS4 and it’s going to be too expensive. :/

Parents – My Mom is getting an OSU bracelet and probably some Cheryl’s cookies. My stepdad will get something Cowboys related. My Dad is getting a Charlie Brown package, including some comic books and a signed picture drawn by Charles Schultz. My stepmom is getting Godiva chocolate.

Sister/Brother – My sister will probably get something from Victoria Secret. I’m thinking about getting my brother a gaming headset.

Mother in Law/Father in Law – We don’t see FMIL for Christmas so we usually don’t get her anything and FI isn’t close with FFIL.

Kids in your family – All the kids get something different. Usually toys or clothes.

For the FI –  A swift kick in the ass. Just kidding! I’m planning to buy him a surround sound bar for his TV. He also needs socks, new boots, and a good foot soaking tub because holy moly does he stink.

MIL and FIL – Absolutely no idea.

My mom – Possibly a necklace from Jcrew, she loves philosophy bubble bath, and maybe some new pajamas.

Sister – Hot pink agate coasters and bauble bar earrings

Brother – gift card to Best Buy and probably some food related items since that’s what he enjoys.

Dad – planning to work with other family members to buy him a new iphone and case or MacBook Pro. Maybe some nice christmas socks too, he really likes holiday socks for some reason?
