Well I don’t know about the pastor or flowers, a wedding cake here (east coast expensive) costs $4-6 dollars a slice for a basic, no frills cake. All the prices are more based on guest count than the cake itself.

well cakes they usually price by the slice and then add on for extras like flavors or decorations. mine was about $4.00 a slice for 120 people – 3 tiers – red velvet with cream cheese frosting.

Flowers – you can DIY i did that through sams – it cost me about $200 for my bouquet, 8 bouts and 5 BM bouquets. i kept it simple though and only did roses, no fillers.

Pastor, i think that depends…like i got married in a catholic church so i had to pay 200 for music, 200 for my wedding director and 100 Min. Stipend for the priest. we actually ended up spending much more than that because my husbands uncle married us so we paid for his plane ticket.

Check out Knot.com, Martha Stewart Weddings as well as this site.  They say that the average is around 20k.  There are a # of Bees who have given a full tally of their wedding cost.

I’m doing everything for under $6k which has me over my budget by $1k.  I didn’t account for makeup, higher florist cost, and bridal accessories.

Good Luck:)

WEDDING CAKE= We are paying $400.00 for ours, which is a medium size 3 layer cake and then sheet cakes, we are feeding 250. We are not having a grooms cake.

FLOWERS= I did all of my flowers myself, and by using silk rather than real, and doing them myself, saved me A LOT. For my bouquet, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, boutinniers, and corsages, I paid around $300. I also did not use flowers in my centerpieces, which really helped as well.

PASTOR= I am not sure on this one… Our pastor just asks for a donation, but not sure how much we are going to give him yet?
