We're getting married in Lake Tahoe, which is 4 hours from our house, so most of our searching was done online. Thanks Google. :)

DJ - a guy that I found by searching Google for "DJ Tahoe." We met with him in person and checked out his references.

CATERING - my aunt and uncle, who live in Tahoe, knew of this place. We asked our rental place about him, and they said that they work with him all the time and that he's a good choice.

HAIR/MAKE UP - still working on that. I searched Google for "salon Tahoe" and checked each of the nearby salons websites for wedding hair/makeup. I am going in for a trial next weekend.

PHOTOGRAPHER - Lake Tahoe has a visitors center that offers wedding vendor information. I found our photographer on there.

WHERE YOU BOUGHT YOUR DRESS - a local boutique salon. It was created by a lady who was sick of the outrageous dress prices in the San Francisco Bay Area, so pricing-wise it was right in line with our budget.

RENTALS-for decorations, chairs, etc - chairs, tables, dishes, etc., we rented from a place called Event Masters USA. I think I searched Google for "wedding rentals."

VENUE - my aunt and uncle's vacation house.

OFFICIANT/PASTOR/CERMONY PREFORMER - I mentioned that we were looking for a minister during a knitting group that I go to, and one of the women there hooked me up with her husband, who is a non-denominational minister in our area. He's awesome!

WHERE YOU BOUGHT ANY WEDDING SUPPLIE - A lot of it has been off of Ebay (chair ties, etc.,) I still have a lot to get.

DJ, probably going to ask a friend to man the sound system we already own with a playlist i make up before hand.

CATERING friend of my ffil offered to do this for free.

    HAIR/MAKE UP... looking for options

PHOTOGRAPHER i baby sat for a friend who will do the photography. but i wouldnt mind paying a professional a few hundred dollars for time only and rights to the pics.

WHERE YOU BOUGHT YOUR DRESS probably will get it from davids at keizer station

RENTALS we mostly likely wont rent anything. we have enough tables and about a 3rd of the chairs we need. we will try to buy chairs before rent them. table clothes will be plastic. dishes will be paper/plastic. decor is coming from leftovers at friends/familys weddings, thrift stores and craigslist so far.

VENUE our home, we have 2.4 acres including an 80x80 home theater.

OFFICIANT/PASTOR/CERMONY PREFORMER havent checked for sure but a family friend has married several of the couples in my family.

WHERE YOU BOUGHT ANY WEDDING SUPPLIES- thrift stores, michaels, craigslist

    Thanks!
