Haha! That is too funny. Well I am not married yet but since our engagement my FI has been watching out for me even more now - I think his husband instincts are kicking in...he went as far as to teach me some "self defense" moves.
Since we've been home from our honeymoon (a whole two days) he's been really sweet making meals for us, etc because we've both been wiped from all the travel. He's also started in on laundering the linens from the wedding we're planning on reselling because I'm not feeling well tonight so he wants me to relax. He's been very attentive and sweet, not a complaint about my husband around here!
He cooks for me. And makes me breakfast and coffee every morning. Without him, I wouldn't eat. Or I'd just eat chips and m&ms.
He'll also rub my feet without me asking.
He's the best.
he has rubbed my back everynight :-) and calls me his "wifey". Now two months after the honeymoon... he and i found out we are expecting a baby and now after he says i love you to me he puts his hand on my belly and says i love you to our baby :-). We had a LOT of fun on our honeymoon :-)
He joke-yells at his friends who hug me hello and goodbye with a "Get your damn hands off my wife!" It's really cute :) And he's always created a bubble force field around me, but he does it even more now it's so adorable :)
DH is doing very well fending for himself for dinner, since I haven't eaten a meal for dinner since I got pregnant. No complaints.
He sends me emails that start with "My Dear Wife", he has been SO much more helpful around the house and has offered to always clean the cat litter and always take care of the 3rd floor cleaning duties including all the laundry!!! He also has made me dinner almost every night and has just been so much more of a partner! I love being married!
I know this may sound weird to some...but I've been married for over a year now and anytime my hubby is talking to someone, friends, family, random people on phone like terminix or whomever, he always finds a way to put me in his conversation and refers to me as "his wife, my wifey or the wife". I know some may think its degrading, but not me. I still get a kick out of the term wife, and it sends butterflies to my tummy. Plus I know its not degrading in anyway as he still tells me, he loves the sound of it just as I say hubby or husband.
He came home the other day and said "hey, why does my predictive text still not recognise "wifey"?". Made my heart melt.
We were making homemade pizza with some of our new wedding gifts and drinking wine just after we got back from our honeymoon. He decides to turn on Pandora to an Italian music station and asked me to dance right there in the kitchen. So cute. It was then followed by more wine, pizza, white russians, and eventually the station was changed to dance music and fist pumping ensured right there in the kitchen. I'm pretty sure that if someone else saw us they would have thought we were crazy, but I'm so glad that I married someone who I can be silly with. :)
I catch my husband staring at my wedding ring while playing with his. He melts me.
Last night, my husband came home with a bouquet of sunflowers, a tub of ice cream, and a bottle of wine. He said, "I was trying to think of a reason to make you happy... so Happy Tuesday!" Aw! We're totally not "gift" people, so it makes it all the more special when he brings me stuff :)
Being married is seriously the best.
He surprised me with flowers + dinner for our one-month anniversary. I hadn't even noticed the date at all, oops.
He sent me roses on my first day back at work after the honeymoon! He had never sent me flowers before, in the entire three years we were together (even though I had asked him to) so I felt like the luckiest wife in the world.
You all have such wonderful husbands. This thread makes me happy. :)
My husband makes my coffee every morning and puts it out in the living room, then has my cereal in a bowl ready for me to pour my milk into :) On Friday nights after work he used to have a bubble bat ready for me and a cosmo next to the tub...but I stopped drinking cosmos (too many calories).
I love hearing sweet things like this!
Mine has told me several times "You're a good wife" - glad he thinks so! I though it was such a funny thing to say esp since I hadn't really DONE anything extra for him then.
Awww, husbands are the best! I'm glad we are all enjoying married life! Another one is my husband was writing a paper for school recounting something for his pt school and I read it. He had to have a pretend disability for a day that put him in a wheelchair, and he spent a paragraph writing about how he hated to see his wife put the chair in and out of the car and it was the first time EVER -which is absolutely true- he didn't get to open a door for his wife and it irritated him. Aww.
Whenever he goes to the grocery store or gets something to eat out, he always brings me home something extra for me so I don't have to take a lot of time to pack my lunch the next day, which is awesome. AND he watches Glee with me...and doesn't make fun of it.
I came home from work today to a card on the coffee table and a frappuccino in the fridge! It was the perfect pick-me-up!
I think i need to print this post and leave it lying around for my husband to see hahaha jk!!
He sends me flowers every month on the 19th and I love it. Usually when he does something like this, it's leading up to something big. For a whole year before we got engaged, he gave me a teddy bear every month on the 23rd (our dating aniversary) til he proposed. He played football in school so I always call him by his last name like his coach use to and now he does that to me and he thinks its the greatest thing...lol. There so many little things he does that mean so much to me.

My hubs came into our room one day and asked, "So... how do I warm up the corn dogs for lunch?"
They were the frozen ones.
I just love him.
