Always have a little emergency kit with scissors, buttons, body tape, hemming tape, little sewing kit, chopstick for flyaways, ect.

If you are lighting candles, bring a long bbq lighter.

Buy matching powder and lipstick to whatever your makeup artist uses.

Breath mints or tic tacs.. you’ll be hugging/kidding people all day, dont want to smell gross!

A little roll on perfume, see above.

Mini deoderant, see above.

Batteries if you have anything that takes them, along with a mini screwdriver to open things.

Make sure the outside of your venue has proper lighting if you are leaving at night, or if you need to pack up at night. Bring lanterns if there isn’t proper lighting.

Remember to bring your rings & marriage license, as well whatever ceremony you are doing [sand, candle, love letter]. Things are the things that seem most often forgotten!

Don’t forget about vendor meals for dj, photographer, ect.

Pens for guest book [and a few more on hand in case they clog]

Don’t forget to bring an invitation so you can get pictures of it

Phone chargers for when you are getting ready in your suite, or for later on in the evening

Tips & thank you notes for anyone who needs them

Don’t forget to eat something on your wedding day! Pack extra bottles of water, apirin, and granola bars for you and your girls.

Ininerary for you and your bridal party.

Pretty hanger for your dress

Back plans in case of rain, and umbrellas

Reserved seating signs for ceremony

Special charm or something for your bouquet [if you are using one]

Not married yet, but my friend forgot her marriage license. No one realized untill 20 min before The ceremony! Luckily she lived close so one of the groomsmen drove over and picked it up.

You should make sticky notes and check lists. Check everything off as you do it. Start now, put things you need in a bag/box by your front door so you can see what you need to take. Also make a copy of that list for anyone that is going to be around you that day!

If you aren’t getting ready at your own home, make a checklist of everything you need for your outfit and as you put it in a bag to take with you, check it off. I managed to forget my bra and had to get my bridesmaids to make a run to my house to pick this stuff up. I also forgot the socks for the shoes I changed into later in the day.

Make yourself/your bridesmaids a little day of kit. I’d suggest deodorant, gum, tic tacs, tooth brush, toothpaste, hair pins, hair spray, pads/tampons, and aspirin/tylenol. I had other stuff in mine, but these were the only things we actually used.

The only other big thing I forgot was: writing a speech. Totally didnt think about it so after my husband gave a speech, I just winged mine on the spot. Thankfully it came out well 🙂 Funny thing is we’d talked about each giving a speech beforehand, but I forgot again.
