Hmm, after all the celebration, I think the first thing I’ll do is sit down with my parents and talk budget. Not very romantic, but essential all the same. THEN I will make with the dress-shopping and venue-picking and vendor vetting. Knowing myself, I’ll have the whole darn thing planned three years before the actual nuptials!

I think the first thing I will do is book my dream venue and take him to it! (The newton white mansion in bowie MD check it out)…. After I would probably start dress shoppingseeing as though I want 2 dresses… then the usuals…

I’m going to be all over the dress stores the weekend following whenever my proposal comes. I’m also probably going to significantly increase my workouts.

I’m really excited also about picking out a venue. There are a lot of georgeous possibilities near where I live.

Imma kiss him. Kiss the daylights outta him. Then “Reward” him….yep.

Call everyone in the whole world.

Blast it on FB, then immidiatly delete my facebook account.

A week later i will try on dresses with my mom and sis. Just to get the last bit of crazy out of my system. i probably wont buy one until my second or 3rd visit. A girl has got to have her fun.

then spend the next 4266555 hours staring at my sparkly

Hmm, the first thing I’ll do…probably have a stupid a$$ grin plastered on my face for a week straight after the proposal LOL

But seriously, after telling everyone, probably try to figure out how to hit up my parents about money…haven’t ever really talked that, but I think they will try their hardest to pay for the wedding. SO thinks his mom and step-dad will help contribute to the honeymoon, although we’ve never talked about it. And I’m sure his father will contribute somehow…even though he’s sorta a deadbeat.

After that, go try on DRESSES!!! I’m obsessed with Lazaro! But I know they start at like $3000…that would be my budget I would think…

I always thought I’d get married at my parents house (it’s huge), but lately SO said he didn’t want to and I found a venue called the Atrium in Norcross, GA, it’s beautiful!!

So probably go there.

Then CAKE TASTING!!!

And probably try to find the motivation to work out lol

@Sapphire-Dreamer:  LOL blast it on facebook, then delete the account!!! HAHAH Why would you delete?

I’ve thought about it, I would have to try to NOT blast facebook with it immediately and actually CALL everyone important first…that’d be hard!!!

I have a while to plan, but probably:

1. Have an engagement party a) Here in my hometown b) In his hometown
2. Discuss budget with my parents and his parents
3. Decide whether we want to get married in NC or TN
4. Pick the wedding court
5. WEDDING DRESS YAY!

@FutureMrs.browneyes:  I imagine my budget will be similar to that. I have an idea as to what my lovely parents will cover, but I would feel weird ironing out details like that before getting engaged. That’s just one of my personal little hangups though, it’s great that you know so much already!

@sa.to.sb.soon:  Because I have beening meaning to delete my FB account for a bit now. My SO already got rid of his. Negativity and redundancy and such. But I want my last post to be:

Sapphire-Dreamer is now Engaged to Mr. Sapphire.

Last post.

@Sapphire-Dreamer:  That is a great post! Why would you delete your fb? As long as you don’t send a mass text; my bff did that and i received “congrats!” texts from complete strangers for days. Turns out if one replies everyone else gets it, too.
