allergic reaction? rash? pimples? It’s hard to tell.

Have you been using a different lotion lately or gone tanning?

Looks like it’s from shaving.  Your razor might have had more bacteria than usual or was a little dull and damaged your skin more.

I vote razor burn. Use a new razor blade. Could also be contact dermatitis, but that usually itches.

I get them too, it seems to happen most after I work out, or when I wear skirts and dresses.   I think its like a heat rash/chafing thing.  I read that its related to the something pilaris that happens on some peoples upper back arms because skin cells don’t exfoliate like they should.

@littlemisst08:  I have it on my arms too. So annoying. It gets better as I get older – and it’s hardly noticeable in the summer.

I agree with other posters that it could be due to shaving – when I use a dull blade, I get little pimples like this. I let it grow out a bit, exfoliate, and make sure I use a new razor.

@sunkissed19:  I have tried so many things, and nothing makes a difference. I think my choices at this point are live with it or see a dermatologist for perscription lotion. I’ve pretty much accepted it though.

I vote razor burn + summer sweat + maybe some ingrown hairs. I hate that the time of year when you need to shave the most is also the time of year when your body produces the most self-irritating fluids!
