- Wedding: August 2009 - Bernardo Winery
I was wondering what everyone was doing for colors… I had a hard time trying to find something that wasn’t too Springy.I knew I wanted Yellow but we recently decided the second would be aqua (or little blue). Here is my inspiration board I pulled together to make sure everything worked.

We were in the same boat. We are having a May wedding but I really wasn’t that into spring colors. So here are our colors.
The inspiration board I found on Project Wedding!

Oh- I wish I had an ispiration board to post! Well, imagine this chocolate brown with red accents. And I love sunflowers, so I’m doing yellow and red sunflowers. It might be too fall-ish, but that’s okay.

That’s pretty! We are doing a lot of white and green with splashes of navy, yellow, and pink. I couldn’t make up my mind. I love colors!

Hehe. I named my colors. Candy Apple Red, Luscious Grape Green & Fresh Linen White.
Red because it’s a lucky wedding color in Chinese weddings, green for the vineyard grapes (vineyard wedding!) and white well, it’s white! Primarily it will be red & white with green as accent.
Here’s the current Polyvore Board!

AlCherri1: Our colors are the same as yours. We had originally wanted the pool blue with a spring green but decided that there wasn’t much contrast. I came across a picture of a wedding party in the pool blue with yellow and white flowers in the bouquets and I fell in love. So… pool blue and yellow it is. They look so fun and exciting together! Good luck with everything!

Ours are a tiffany blue and white with a touch of yellow. yellow is odd i know but my grandpa’s favorite flower was a yellow rose and since he passed away adding yellow and yellow roses is my way of remembering him

Ahhh, I love colors. Can I have twenty different weddings so I can integrate all the different color palettes that I adore?!
We’re doing bright orange, ivory, deep royal purple, and light lime green. I did NOT want pink or white ruling the day- I want everything to be bright and cheerful. We’re having buckets and truckloads of daises. 🙂

I’ve been really stressed out about the "color" situation since day 1 of my planning. what is the max number of color I can have? I’m having an outdoor wedding which I would like the style to be elegant and I want to stay away from the softer colors like baby blue/pink. How about Fuschia, Orange, Yellow, Purple and Green? Is that too many? I think I’ll narrow it down to 3 color for major use and the remaining will be for smaller touch of items.

I get the strangest looks when i tell my colors-charcol grey and burnt orange…it actually looks really nice, we’re also having white as an accent color. We are using Fall as a big inspiration

I had so much trouble deciding what colors to choose. I have been dating my FI for six and a half years – needless to say I have been thinking about this for a while! I really wanted cornflower blue bridesmaids dresses for years. Unfortunately, my FI sister got engaged first and stole not only my color but the exact dress. I didn’t make a fuss because I wasn’t engaged at the time and didn’t think it would ever happen anyway. So now that we FINALLY got engaged I have decded on red bridesmaid dresses for a May wedding. Since not much goes with the shade of red I chose I decided on yellow and orangy-pink flowers. I love them!
