FH and I are currently trying to save up for a king size bed and new kitchen cabinets. Our house is a new construction, so most everything was perfect, but all the cabinets in the house seem to be pretty cheaply done and they are so dark. The kitchen has dark countertops and a dark floor, so it feels like a dungeon in there even with the lights on. We are hoping to upgrade to something better and lighter. Eventually we want to also get rid of the dark cabinets in our bathrooms since they are small and that dark cabinets make it feel much smaller. One thing at a time though.

Right now we’re just saving for the sake of saving. Eventually we’re going to need a bigger house and have kids, but they aren’t in the immediate plans. A deck was the last item we were saving for, and now we’re just waiting for spring to build it.
Personally, I’m saving for a new iMac. I stash $100 per paycheck, so it’s going to take a while.

I’m also saving to build up more of a safty net and also to get rid of my student loans. Eventually we want to move out of the city we are in, so that will take some resources to make happen….

We just bought DH his car for Xmas so the next big ticket item is his tuition due in the Fall which we want to pay off in cash. No more new student loans for this couple!

A house. I was almost going to suck it up and deal with apt living for another year, but I’m not going to do it. I’m at the point where I don’t care if I look at one house and just take it. I have a tendency to be depressed, and I truly feel having a dog will help me, kind of like pet therapy. My husband agrees that a dog will most likely do wonders for me since I’ve already tried other things to help me. (Sorry for the story lol)

we always save for the sake of saving too.
but now i’m looking at upgrading my ring setting to platinum, so that’s at the forefront of my mind.

We’re saving for…. our anniversary trip to Europe this summer and a hutch/bar/cabinet for our dining room. I’m personally saving for bridesmaid costs for my friend’s wedding in July & spending money while we’re in Vegas next month.

We have our downpayment bookmarked when we are transferred.
I have earmarked other money that is for furnishing future house/baby (TTC now) so I want to keep throwing money into that monthly.
More or less just for retirement.
We would like to take a nice trip this fall, but we wouldnt start earmarking money for that until the summer likely when we know where we will be living hopefully by then.

There’s a few items on the list: a trip to Antarctica, update the bathrooms, a hot tub… in no particular order.

My husband and I are saving for quite a bit, but hopefully we are almost to our goal! We finally got my new ring set out of lay away, we just have to pay to size it now. We are also saving to move into our own place and furnish it! It is a very stressful process. And unfortionatly we have to rent instead of buy because we are younge and our credit isn’t so great. Good luck to all you bee’s with your savings!
