We Eloped over Christmas to a Destination Wedding in the Florida Keys (just the 2 of us).

We booked a gorgeous Honeymoon Suite over looking the Straits of Florida… 3 Nights total.  Two before the Wedding and the Wedding Night.

I spent the majority of the day of the Wedding being pampered… Hair, Make Up… light lunch with my Fiance.  Then in the afternoon we got dressed in our Wedding Attire… and popped a bottle of champagne had a wee toast before we headed off to our Wedding on the Beach.

Then we took in the Sunset… went out for drinks.  And finally to our Dinner Reservation at a favourite restaurant (where they spoiled us rotten).

Then it was back to our amazing Suite… for some more Champagne… and phonecalls to Friends & Family to share our good news.

Next Day we took advantage of late check out… before heading on our way for a couple of hours drive to our next stop… the Airport Hotel.

Where we relaxed and soaked in their nice amenities.

Next day we flew off to San Juan, and spent 2 days / nights enjoying a posh hotel before our 7 Night Carribean Cruise.

Our 2 week extravaganza (Wedding & Honeymoon) was fantastic.  Loved every minute of it.

Hope this helps,

I’m conisdering dinner, a night out, and then off to our honeymoon. I originally wanted to do Napa Valley, but,up the mountains (Poconos) seems just lovely. Especially here:

Home

Or even just a fancy hotel in Philly for a couple days.

@mrsedwardslpn:  Indeed they do. I am really loving their Fantasy Apple Suite among others, though.

Let’s see… We were on vacation already at the time.  We slept in a little bit at the lodge, then ate a big breakfast.  We went on a drive up the Icefields Parkway (Banff National Park) and hiked some trails.  A little lower key than the other days – which were hikes of 5-8 miles per day.  We returned to the lodge earlier than usual so we could enjoy the huge outdoor hot tub that had great views!  Then made a fire in our hotel and drank our last bottle of champagne by the fire (given by friends).  Perfect!

We are Aussie and eloped to Santorini Greece. We had been on holidays for 3 weeks before the wedding (BEST DECISION EVER) and then 2 days after the wedding we flew to Malaysia for 7 nights for our honeymoon and then back to Sydney where we held a reception at a Greek restaurant (not the typical big open space with round tables and a structured run sheet) for 76 guests. It was the best reception ever. Seriously, everyone had a blast.

Heading to the beach for a walk (our first date was by the ocean, although across the world) and then heading off to dinner 🙂

not sure if you meant right after the wedding ceremony, or after we get back….. for us, we plan on doing a simple ceremony with my three teeanage sons….our pastor friend, and with a photographer,… overlooking the pacific ocean… and then going to a nearby restaurant for dinner.  Since we’re saving money on all the festivities, I’m going to splurge and get a limo for my boys so they can safely get back to their dad’s place… in style (plus, I know they’ll get a huge kick out of it!!)….. then we’ll spend the weekend in a nice inn, also overlooking the ocean.

in a month or so following the wedding, we will have a nice family dinner with the immediate family and a couple close friends…. no more than 50 people…. dinner and cake…..
