@Daizy914:  Aw how fun! Good luck with your first hosting!

My MIL and SIL are having a Las Vegas themed NYE party at theirs this year. I think they want everyone to relive the massive family trip to Vegas this summer for the wedding, it will be fun. Plus, I got to get a really cute costume for it. Love dressing up!

@MrsPanda99:  Last year we did dinner and then champagne/ watching the ball drop at home. Going downtown is a nightmare, and so is driving later at night (one of the top drunk driving nights of the year).  I love being home and cozy with our little fam after a nice dinner out!

No plans yet…..if we are lucky we will find something exciting to do (local pub/band, we know someone who sometimes has a black tie party on a boat……our town had a barn dance last year!) or we may end up watching DVD’s, playing games at a friends…….or if we are really, really lucky we may get to stay home by ourselves, drink champagne, eat our favorite foods and make the most of the late night!

I have no idea yet for this year…the past like 6 years I have gone with my best friend to a yact club where her DH works and her parents are members for their party. They used to have a wonderful sit down dinner of steak and lobster, followed by a live band and dancing with champange at midnight. The past year though they stopped the dinner and just served heavy appitizers all night long, it was still fun and FI came with last year. However, this year I think I might be ready to do something different. Part of me would be just fine enjoying a night at home.

@MrsPanda99:  Just spending it with FH. We are hoping that the weather is nice so that we can go skating downtown (outside) and see some of the celebrations. Otherwise if it’s too cold or snowing too much, we’ll stay inside with some hot drinks and just cuddle up and watch the party on TV. Very simple! My mom wanted us to come to her NYE party that she has every year, and I’ve never been interested in her party. It’s always people that only my parents know and I can’t relate to them.  When I was still living at home I used to just hole up in my bedroom or the basement and watch TV.

Oh! Also my brother is coming to my place that night. He’s 15, autistic (so doesn’t do well with strangers – gets very nervous), and he told me he doesn’t want to be at “Mom’s stupid party”, lol.

FH and I just aren’t interested in staying up all night partying and getting as drunk as possible anymore. We’ve grown up a bit since graduating.

@MrsPanda99:  Usually we go to a party but leave right after midnight because we’re exhausted, haha. But this year my SO might have to work, so who even knows.

I’m going to be in Monte Carlo, but I’m flying out the next morning. We’ll party earlier in the night and then wind down later so we don’t miss our flight.
